I fear your egos cup over has overflowed! I eat out with friends who could buy half the State of California, we have eaten at many chain restaurants. My friends are not hyper wealthy snobs, they are just hyper wealthy down to earth wonderful people who don’t have their egos tied up to their wealth. I love them for it

I know plenty of people that can afford really nice restaurants but they prefer to go to places like Applebee's because they like the food, the staff or it brings back nostalgia for them. Don't forget, in Fergie's song "Glamorous" she still goes to Taco Bell and she's got money to burn.....

The post is tacky as hell, not wanting to go to Applebee’s is fine. I don’t go to chain restaurants for a variety of reasons. One being that I like to support local restaurants. Doesn’t mean I’m a gold digger.

To be fair, Applebees is disgusting. I wouldn't blink if a date wanted to go to a cheaper place, but Applebees would make me think maybe his taste buds are broken.

When will people realize that money, intelligence, and status are not what matters? To many people look down on other's because they're uneducated, poor, and don't care to gain materialistically. We are all worthy of being treated right, humane, and with decency and dignity. From the Ceo to the homeless man or woman. We all have needs that should be met in this world. But most importantly, we all are just trying to exist and be treated well. It's just sad that we live in a society that glorifies status, looks, and money. We treat our own kind so horrifically and it has got to stop!

I went to a lot of chain restaurants with my significant other when we first started dating. Our first date was hiking in a park so that was free. It’s whatever really. We had normal amounts of money then so we went to normal places. We have more money now, and we probably eat at cheaper places. I always liked Applebee’s when I ate meat. I wouldn’t choose to go on my first date there but that’s mainly because the atmosphere is bad. I think dinner is a boring idea for a first date. It should be an activity or a coffee shop, lunch bistro or drinks at a cool bar. So I can see why she’d turn him down but not because of cost. If you want to have high standards and a rich partner you have to be in those places and run in those circles. Sounds like she doesn’t. A house and a BMW are normal, average things. Nice things but still normal.

You can keep your standards high and not be a bitch. Applebee's has good drinks but the food sucks IMO. If it was a man who had some what she did in sure she would've responded in horror. Owning a house a business and some stocks is great. She flexd about a BMW? My daughters 19 yr bf has 3 and he works at a grocery store! If she could buy Applebee's she could afford to drive something muxh better
