It seems that she had a complex to begin with. She didn't feel confident about her looks. More than likely she assumed he had no interest in her nasty self. I'd say there was a 80%chance he only has to say sorry to hear your not into me, I really thought your pretty and felt comfortable with you. She expected that. This is why she few off the handle.

Oh I know what happened, she has no interest in him but wants to be in a relationship, so she is telling him that because she thinks he will beg to get her back. Only problem is he wasn't actually that interested in her so she got angry and tried to turn the tables and pin the whole situation on him

I did some online dating about 8 years ago and most of the people were really nice, but everyone is so vulnerable when dating and a few people had very odd and unpleasant reactions to any hint of rejection. Even when it was said nicely and without anything insulting. It looks like that is what happened here. He handled it quite well and she was really inappropriate and defensive. It's probably because she doesn't feel good about herself or confident about dating. I wish them both well.
