Stuck at home, trying to come up with something to occupy the creative side of myself. At first, I didn’t quite know how I would, but after seeing many of the memes discussing COVID19 attire, I asked myself, “What are we wearing in Spring 2020?” So, my daughter and I set out to answer that question. Taking inspiration from social media and the global climate to create this inspired fashion shoot.
Being an artist and photographer constantly gets me (and frequently, my high school daughter) into projects that are crazy, abstract, and sometimes straight-up ridiculous, which is the point of most of them. I have always found a creative outlet through photography, and frequently take what I see around me and transform it into something fun that’s expressive and most of the time unconventional.
As a foreigner living with my family in Japan, I am currently less restricted than elsewhere, but all precautionary measures were still taken in the making of this project.
As a quick disclaimer:
– No toilet paper was harmed in the making of these images (There is no toilet paper shortage in Japan)
– All quarantine regulations and social distancing were followed
– This is in no way making fun of what’s happening around the world right now, just making light of using my personal creative outlet
