6 Brave COVID-19 Nurses Become The Face Of Reebok’s New ‘Wonder Woman’ Collection
You know what they say: not all heroes wear capes. Some of them wear nursing attire and are currently courageously facing the global pandemic head-on. Yes, we’re talking about the frontline health care professionals working during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, these workers are being recognized as such in a campaign for Reebok’s new capsule collection “Wonder Woman.”
The photos of the campaign feature six brave nurses from Boston, where Reebok is headquartered: Taylor Meyer (nurse practitioner), Vilma Pacheco (nurse practitioner), Kathryn D’Innocenzo (emergency room nurse), Suki Stiles (registered nurse), Cassie Moy (registered nurse), and Solange Rosa (emergency room nurse).
Reebok’s new line was inspired by the upcoming movie called “Wonder Woman 1984”

“These nurses are on the frontlines fighting the first global pandemic of the century day in and day out by risking their lives to save others,″ Caroline Machen, vice president of global marketing at Reebok, said in a statement. ″While they might not see themselves as real-life wonder women, we do.”

In addition, Reebok also created a mini-documentary in which each of the nurses had an opportunity to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences working as healthcare professionals during these uncertain times.

“It was a Friday, and I was in the ER, and it was just patient after patient after patient coming in,″ the nurse named Taylor Meyer shares in the video. “They were struggling to breathe. That was it. There was no turning back. COVID was here, and we had to keep fighting.”

‘Not knowing if we were going to be sick, or if we were the ones who were going to die, was just one of the most horrifying experiences of my career,” the nurse Vilma Pacheco says with tears running down her face.
“You don’t realize how much people need each other until something like this happens,” one of the nurses said

Some of the nurses shared that they still haven’t seen their families since the pandemic started. “I actually haven’t seen my family,” said the nurse named Solange Rosa. “I was out of the country all of February and most of March, and when I came back, I’d worked a shift and I couldn’t even hug my mother. I’m very close to my family, so that took a toll on me.”

Despite all the challenges, our wonder women feel grateful to be working on the frontline during these difficult times. “I had a friend who once told me that nursing is a thankless job, [but] it’s really not,” says Suki Stiles. “The family members are so thankful, the patients are so thankful.”
“I work with some pretty amazing women who, to me, are all Wonder Women”

“I work with some pretty amazing women who, to me, are all Wonder Women. [They’re] just the fiercest women I’ve ever seen, facing this pandemic head-on, and it’s been so inspiring to watch, and it really makes me want to be a better woman every day,” Taylor Meyer adds.

Share on FacebookOkay, don't beat up on me for this, because it's all fabulous. And they deserve all the attention and accolades they receive. I have a neighbor who is a nurse, been working grueling hours on the covid floor. He's a guy. Let's not assume all nurses are women, and all doctors are men. That being said, this is fabulous, and I know he would be the first to applaud them. I hope they got some kick ass shoes at the very least here.
I agree! Why are none of these women doctors? I get why is is ad target toward women, so many no male nurses, but I have to say the male nurses I have dealt with have been amazing.
