I think normal is hugely underrated. There is just so much humor in everyday life if you stare hard and long enough till the situation gets really embarrassing and mildly awkward. That’s probably when you start seeing the universe in its naked form (might be a sight for sure!)
Anyway, to my parent's constant objection, I harbor the ambition of being a hungry cartoonist from the age of 15. I tried feeding on 80gsm comic paper (mixed with mayonnaise and some spring onions) for a while. That works, I got a great stomach, unfortunately, I didn’t quite figure out how to pay the electricity bills with my hand-drawn dollar notes. So by the time I hit 20, I had to layoff all my cartoon characters and start my wonderful corporate journey.

The Expresso
To be fair, corporate life was amazing. Don’t get me wrong, I still wanted to be a full-time cartoonist, but hey, surely a little accumulation of life experiences wouldn’t do me any harm. True enough, all the interaction with human beings of all kinds, the networking functions, sales meetings, business travels, budgets, profit and loss, team management. Gosh! What a load of comic ideas amassed across the last 20 years!
Food Chain
Well, to cut to the chase (I hope you are still reading,) my younger self traveled forward in time, gave me a weirdly motivating speech of pursuing my dreams before its too late (not sure why.) So here we are, after a few months of practice, I started the first comic with a pandemic-related cartoon. And a few panels forward, I have a personal web cartoon series going on regularly on Instagram titled - Oddly Sequential.
Captured Tunes
In my defense, I didn’t quite start off wanting to create these odder-than-usual comics, but somehow it just went that way. Anyway, I do hope you like them, and with a stroke of luck, maybe I really do get a shot at becoming a hopefully less hungry cartoonist.

This reminds me of a hammer I have. It has a flower print and the bottom unsrews for some screwdrivers. 5 in one! And perfectly usable.

I feel I'm not smart enough to get the joke. Or maybe there are some cultural references I don't know. I need explanation for at least half of the cartoons. I like the vampire's story.
It's okay, I didn't get many of them either. Some of them we just stories, others jokes, a few were very hard to follow.

Comics are a great medium to push the imagination far and beyond. I am still beginning to experiment with it. Hopefully I get better with my next few tries! So happy that you like the drawing style! :)
