A tiny 2-week-old puppy was left all alone in a hot car in a parking lot in Pensacola, Florida this Tuesday. It was more than 90 degrees outside. A passerby heard the pup whimpering and called the police. The officers arrived and smashed the car’s window without a second thought. The pooch was returned to the owner as it needed to be with its mother. The officers, however, had a strong message for the owner and anybody else who locks their dogs in cars during hot, sweaty days.
“Don’t. Just don’t,” the Pensacola Police Department wrote on its Facebook page. “If you leave your dog in a hot car and that dog is suffering, we will do whatever we have to do to free him. We will drive your pooch to the caring folks at the Escambia County Shelter and we will drop you off with the caring folks at the Escambia County Detention Facility. You will both receive attention, food and shelter, albeit different kinds. So, don’t.”

Share on FacebookFirst of all, you should never separate a two week old pup from it's mother, second of all, who in the world would think that it would be a good idea to drive a two week old pup around and think it'll survive being locked in the car on a hot day?! And last but not least, people who do these kind of things should have the exact same treatment and be put in jail. Whoever the careless owner of this poor pup is should be locked in a hot car all day without air, or anything to drink, then thrown in jail or at least have been given an animal cruelty fine. What idiots.
I completely agree with you, people are just idiots!!! The poor pup. The punishment you have come up with is quite genius
