I, Daniele Lanza, also known as Jimmy D. Lanza, was born in 1979 in Vigevano. Ever since I was a child I drew as an expression of my creativity, sensibility, and refinement.
In 1997 I graduated in graphics and in 2004 as an illustrator at “Scuola Il Castello” in Milan. In 2008 I began as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, and decorator, without ever neglecting the study of various painting techniques such as oil, pencil, and watercolor, experimenting with all the media, always in search of new stimuli.
Much commitment and determination led me to collaborate with communication agencies and entrepreneurs, but also with furniture producers and people who appreciate my personal creativity. I also developed a passion for tattoos that led me to get a license as a tattoo artist, remaining imprinted on the skin of a few good friends.
The encounter with ceramics at the beginning of 2016 is certainly cathartic and quickly consecrated me to the world of Made in Italy Design. The different series of Vases “VISOVASI” are certainly the most appreciated and recognizable works in my repertoire.

The Ceramics are unique pieces of craftsmanship made entirely by hand in Italy in limited edition, design objects and also works of art created for an audience that appreciates the uniqueness and originality, and authenticity. The style is eclectic, linked to pop culture, symbolism and surrealism romantically linked to nature. A bit annoyed, a bit disturbing, and even dreamers, these Vases enclose all the emotions and the wonder of being able to furnish but also create their own world within our home.
The main channels of sales and interaction with customers internationally are the online portal of international crafts Etsy and the Instagram profile that allows me to grow constantly with the audience that follows with whom I often create real relationships, exchange advice, and appreciation, and also create several works on commission.
My work is also featured and published on some important sector references profiles such as DOMESTIKA, HI-FRUCTUSE MAGAZINE, CERAMIC MAGAZINE, and CERAMICLICIOUS.
Last but not least is the collaboration with Marco Lupo, a young entrepreneur from Milan who founded the start-up LOOPO MILANO in 2020 for which I created on commission a series of very special vases depicting old ladies called LE SCIURE. This collection has immediately received huge success and has been reviewed by the biggest magazines in this sector such as ELLE DECOR, COSMOPOLITAN... all the way to the living room table of CHIARA FERRAGNI.
Plot twist: these are actually created with plaster molds of this person's murder victims.... NO I'M JOKING DON'T SUE MEEEE
Lol his facial expression is that of someone who just noticed there's a bug on them and is trying to decide between screaming or attacking it.
