But it's important to remember that their uploads are just snapshots and that they often don't reflect the full story, either. To illustrate this point, we present to you the subreddit 'Instagram Reality.'
Its 1.2 million members regularly share images that expose the fake people online, highlighting just how ridiculous their photo editing has become. There's always more than meets the eye.

Part of it too is they feel that their real self is not good enough, so they keep altering their photos to what they think is the “perfect” look in their mind. Some of it is self esteem and other issues. I think I remember hearing how Khloe was called the “ugly” Kardashian. That’s sad.

Doesn’t happen in nature. Even the most naturally well preserved 52 year old is not going to look 25. Because she’s 52. There is absolutely nothing wrong with looking good for your age, even for looking 10 years younger than you actually are. Kudos to you for taking such good care of yourself, in addition to winning the genetic lottery. But you should never ever try to look like you did 30 years ago. It will all look extremely fake, and will only make you look extremely desperate.

Definitely enhanced. But in fairness (and much as I can't be bothered with this lot) the picture on the left is too cold looking; with a washed out bluish tint. Very unflattering. They've just altered the colour balance.

What I find most disturbing is what they edit. Some have reduced some enlarged breasts - fine. Some have narrowed or widened thighs - fine. All have smoother skin, that's OK. But why does every single one have narrowed waist - not right. Why does every single change to the eyes have bigger eyes - not right. Why smaller head, longer limbs? It's the attraction towards serious physical illnesses as a beauty standard that throws me.

What is it with the "dresses" where the boobs fall out? Not only the unnatural cleavage but that piece of boob sticking out anywhere Like the woman with the blue piece of fabric on her. There is a little bit sticking out downwards on the left side.
