If you squint carefully with your left eye while standing on your right foot you can see that it says 6" pizza something sub, italian herb bread, old english style, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, something else, onions, pickles, carrots, marina sauce. The line under subtotal is GST (10%) so that rules out Canada, so my next guess was Australia and a quick check shows that their GST rate is 10%. Then a visit to Subway Australia website shows that they have a pizza melt sub.

So you have no insurance, you are just helping fund somebody's third vacation house. What is ridiculous is that people think that universal health care would cause us to pay a lot more in taxes. Health insurance, at least in the US, is basically a tax collected by private entities with much less control or say by the payers of how it gets used. Annual health care expenditures in the US is about $10,624 per person or about $3.5 trillion per year. As a comparison the total revenue of the federal government in 2020 was $3.4 trillion and $1.6 trillion of that was from individual income tax. So for every $1 we pay in federal income tax we spent $2.19 on health care. I don't know about you but I would rather have my income tax be doubled and get fully funded single player health care that is not dependant on my employers whims or where I live.

I have refused to take promotions before because of this. My boss asked me, the second to last time they tried to promote me, why I didn't want it. I had to tell her that I would be making less per hour worked than I would if I stayed hourly. Not to mention a whole mess of other negatives, since by that point I had worked my way into a nice little spot at that restaurant, I had a guaranteed Monday through Friday opening shift, got to choose who I worked with, and fairly much automatic approval for time off. I didn't abuse that last one, they knew I took one week twice a year and one four day weekend every other month. I also had the maintenance team teach me how to fix most of the common problems with the equipment so that if something went wrong they could call me and I would be there, normally in less than ten minutes instead of the one of two days for maintenance. Basically,it was a give and take that suited me and I wasn't going to mess it up for less money.

I think people should just stop with its not their responsibility or it's their responsibility stuff already. Just be decent humans and help each other when needed..even if it's uncomfortable sometimes. Get over who's to blame game and just do right by each other. Damn

My kid had a fourth grade teacher who let him work at his own pace in math. She managed to acquire books with more advanced material for him. He had taught himself calculus by the end of the school year. She was such an amazing teacher to give him the space to fly.
