The story behind the image: This male and his "wife" was mating all night long. This happened very close to our camp, and we could hear them the entire night. We left the camp early in the morning, just to find the pair walking around. The female kept on enticing the male for "more" but he had enough. So he looked up a shady bush area, parked himself, and tried to catch up on lost sleep. He had enough...

Thank you for the comment. The pride was feasting on a buffalo they killed earlier in the morning. The interaction here is almost as if the female and the youngsters came to say thank you to the young male lion.

Thank you for the comment.... That is not fear in the eyes., it is adrenaline. The Wild Dog pack was feasting on a Kudu (antelope) when I took the image. The lost ear comes from years of fighting for dominance within the pack.

This is the youngest elephant I have ever photographed. Literally days old. The stumbling, feet, pink ears and the hairy body is a dead giveaway.
