What a shame. Charlie is a great name for a girl, I've loved it ever since I saw Drew Barrymore in Firestarter. Charlotte is bland and reminds me of the Sex in the City character. I hope the parents don't do something permanent by legally changing it. A 5 y/o is not able to make these adult decisions and shouldn't be allowed to. And the parents should explain why they gave her that name, why it's special and why she should love it. Way too many parents are letting their young kids make adult choices for themselves these days. Kids have parents for a reason.

My mom had a chow chow when i was born and he was very protective of her and growled at me when i came home. Two years later i jumped on him when he was sleeping (stupid kid stuff) and he instantly snapped at me and I had to get stitches all around my chin. It was a close call to being higher on my face and I still have the scars.
