Please don't. Please. I know you won't believe this, but now, as somebody pretty much recovered, I have gained about 15 pounds and I'm the happiest I have been in 2 years. It is possible. Also, something I WISH someone had told me is that anorexia destroys your metabolism. The more you starve, the more your body panics and the more weight you will gain when you do eat. It's a survival mechanism. You can eat 'normally' again, whatever 'normal' meant for you, and maintain your weight. You just have to repair your metabolism first. Trust me. <3 also sorry this is so late I somehow missed your comment and only saw it again now.

So true - all the weight los stuff is toxic. I am in anorexia recovery, and let me tell you, I was never happy. One day I looked in the mirror and thought I was fat. Two days later, I was ashamed because I thought I had become too skinny. There is no way to lose enough weight to make you completely happy with how you look, because either you will see yourself as too fat or too skinny, or you will think your butt is to small, but if you gain weight and you like your butt then you hate your stomach fat. The cycle is vicious.

Also, often C-sections happen because a woman has had it very hard before - like my mom, who had a C-section for me because before that she had twins that stretched out her uterus, and died hours after being born, and so they had to sew her uterus shut and birth me and my sister surgically because they didn't want her uterus to rip anymore. Yikes!

PSA MSG is not bad for you!!! This whole 'MSG is not good for you' is a myth!!! If anybody has heard the podcast 'This American Life' there is a whole explanation about it talking to the families of the guy who first published an article about 'Chinese Restaurant Syndrome' and started the whole thing. Also the FDA says it's fine (in the US, I don't know specifics about other countries). If you get symptoms from Chinese takeout, it might be something else in the food and/or an ingredient that causes a reaction that seems bigger than it is because of the placebo effect, if you think you ate msg or you think it is bad for you. You could also be allergic to msg, but that doesn't mean it's bad for everyone just like how if you have a peanut allergy, it doesn't mean everyone in the world should stop eating peanuts.

Yup! In fact, glutamate IS Umami as in a Japanese chemist created msg from glutamate so that we could literally achieve the essence of umami in food. Other foods that have an umami taste have a naturally occurring glutamate (like some you mentioned, soy sauce, fish sauce, fermented food) so @Eslamala I'd say it is actually pretty remarkable that we are able to extract a certain profile and add it to any foods we like.
