I love this! I look a lot like Mabel and Almass, and I'm infinitely glad you put people on there who aren't the blond, curvy teens I normally see. It is very refreshing to see this. Makes me a tad more self-confident, and that's a big deal, I have always struggled with it. (Somebody once said I looked like a combination of Gollum and Frodo. Scarred me for life.)

Idealism is a virtue , but, I wonder , when these tweens are 18, if they will have the same goals. Mabel, age 11, has a real concern about conformity . We are already seeing so much group-speak & intolerance for different opinions. What will it be like as these tweens get older ?

Oh Maria! It means so much to me that my series and the girls in it have meant something to you. I created it because I was one of those girls myself. I didn't feel like I fitted in particularly well, and one of my ambitions with this was to celebrate who these girls are, and how amazing they each individually are. All those things that make you feel different or those things that you will be great assets in your adulthood. Your individuality is precious.
