It depends on the religion. We have to stop grouping all faiths into one bad thing when that simply isn't true. Some are bad, yes, or have more than their fair share of bad people. But if a person is happy with their faith, doesn't cram it down others' throats, doesn't hurt others, doesn't judge and lets others live their lives in peace, we shouldn't demonize them.

Evil people twist great things to horrible uses. Religion is no different. There are plenty on penitent people around the world who use their faith only for good. You don't blame the guy who invented trains because Hitler used them to transport jews to the holocaust. Don't blame religions like Christianity and Hinduism that teach pacifism and love because evil men twisted them for power.
