Avoiding single use plastics is very important. On the subject of recycling, it annoys the heck out of me that there aren't more, and better, recycling drop-off containers in the US. Parks, airports, etc. are especially bad areas and it's very hard to recycle. What makes it worse is the volume of people who pass through (at least in normal, non-pandemic times). It would be great if someone designed a multi-purpose container that could separate trash from recyclables, and perhaps even separate the recyclables by type (paper v metal v plastic).

One thing I don't get is why more countries don't have proper recycling systems. For instance, when you buy a can of beer or a bottle of soda, you pay a recycling fee. You go home, finish your drink and the next time you visit your supermarket you put the bottles and cans in a recycling machine and get your money back. We've had it for decades. As a bonus – you never see bottles and cans in streets or in parks, people collect them.

This person lives in a beautiful area. It's so sad that people don't appreciate the nature around them. Just take your rubbish home with you people it's not that hard

Yeah when I found out that oreos also had high-fructose corn syrup in addition to palm oil I was surprised , just from a health point it's not even worth supporting by buying them

That's a good point to bring up! I like the way newspaper looks, sadly some people want that shiny new present look so I figured this was a better alternative than glossy paper that can't be recycled, but thank you for bringing up that point!
