"Family Farm Life": 64 Things That Are A Lot Worse Than They Seem

I'm applying disability due to a complex chronic illness that's destroying my joints (among other things). I do NOT spend my time chilling at home. I go to college part-time, which is the most I can manage, and the rest of the time, when I'm not taking care of my service dog or my apartment, I'm on the phone with the 4 pharmacies involved in supplying my medications. I'm going to pick up said medications. I'm scheduling doctor appointments. I'm going to my primary care doctor for routine bloodwork. I'm arguing with insurance company representatives about my coverage. I'm calling the help line because ny patient portal isn't working and I can't access my nedical records. I'm getting order forms faxed, I'm booking MRIs, I'm requesting referrals, I'm explaining accommodations, I'm meeting with my disability advisor at my university to go over the paperwork, and I'm trying to find a physical therapist who takes my insurance. I have dealt with more dysfunctional phone trees and bureaucratic forms than most people twice my age. It's exhausting. It's literally enough work to constitute a job, but instead of getting paid for my labor, the reward is that I'm not dead yet.

It makes total sense that after a lifetime of having your thoughts and feelings discredited, and witnessing no accountability from the parent/s doing harm, you would struggle to self-validate. "Epi" is short for "epinephrine," which is a specific d**g, not a type ofsyringe. EpiPens are not kept in the fridge, and they're for severe allergies and mast cell diseases, not weight loss. If it doesn't have epinephrine in it, it's not an EpiPen. OP doesn't actually know what kind of medication it is, clearly, nor is it her business.

I never trust the account of a guy who says things like that he's "literally never said anything bad" to his partner. Mind you, I'm not justifying anything she has said to him, hormones or not. I just have to wonder if he's a reliable narrator. EVERYONE has said at least one hurtful thing to their partner. I can definitely imagine this guy saying something to his partner that she lets him know was very, very hurtful, but he doesn't count it as "bad" because HE doesn't think he's "sunk down to her level." Like... is she an equal in your eyes? Or are you looking down on her? Again, this doesn't mean SHE is a good partner or a kind person. I'm just pointing out some red flags here.

Take my upvote. The downvoters are miffed MENSA members, probably. PS: I've taken the test when I was 17 (event at school), I passed but declined their invitation (F/westerner). It's really not that hard if you have some basic knowledge and training in logic and math. That's why those IQ tests are biased rubbish, please don't feel "unintelligent" if you don't reach their "130": they are developed by and tested on "classic western educated men". So often men/westerners score more in general than an (e.g.!) female indigenous from some remote place had much more difficulties to score the same - though they are NOT less intelligent. But these tests heavily leans on MINT facts snd brainy skills but never ask about "how to make a toddler smile?", or "mend a gap with thread and needle" or "get that stain off" or "dance a complex dance". I would loooove to see such an IQ test.

Yes, there's knife crime in the UK but? Sorry to put it like this but? A knife is up close and personal. A gun is too, apart from high powered rifles et al... At the end of the day? Why was he told that she was dying by the doctors and she WASN'T? I'm not saying I don't understand at all the desire to protect a loved one from suffering, but damn. She was a human being. She might have wanted to make arrangements for her comfort, cross something off her bucket list, call someone from her past to say goodbye. Those choices were taken away because her husband was informed while she was kept in the dark, and her husband decided it was his right to choose for her.

I just want to respectfully point out that in English -- at least, in American English, which is all I can speak to -- "diminished people" isn't a socially accepted phrase and could definitely be interpreted as rude. I myself am disabled, and most disabled people I know would probably be most comfortable with exactly that phrase: disabled people. I just wanted to provide information. No judgment. Translating between languages is tricky

Woman here with background in bio and healthcare-- you don't want fecal matter being introduced to the vagina OR the urethra. The bacteria from feces is not the same combination of bacteria that populates the vagina, and interfering with the balance of healthy vaginal bacteria can increase the risk of BV (bacterial vaginosis). Then with the urethra, same idea, because this increases the risk of UTIs (urinary tract infections).
