I know how to support financially and emotionally to my friends if they get pregnant, how to provide a safe home if their parents threw them out, to love mom and baby. But I’m just a teen. How do I help protect against school shootings? I’ll wrestle the shooter to protect kids. But are there other ways? I’m praying too.

I think there is righteous outrage. A life has been taken. A precious human life. ❤️ That is not right and there is grief. This world is so crazily broken it’s horrible somedays. Children shouldn’t have to be frightened of a shooting in a place of learning or having shooting drills because we shouldn’t have to deal with this. But I think there’s a lack of knowing what to do. All life has meaning and value and is precious. Whether a person is rich or poor, able to productively contribute to society or can’t get out of bed in the morning because of depression, bodily abled or handicapped. When it is taken it is heartbreaking. To have the mom have to walk into the room of her little girl and know that that child’s last moments were of terror; for the best friend who now has anxiety because of shooting drills…none of this should be happening. The fact we even see school shootings in society is disgusting. So yeah, there is outrage. Please tell me how I can help.

What Drew You To The People You Now Love?

They kinda just adopted me as their own. My best friend of almost 13 years: our moms were bffs and they decided to meet us. She just kinda went "mine now" after meeting each other a few times and we've been sisters ever since. My three friends in high school: all my friends in middle school left me behind (I went to a K12) and I had known this girl since the 3rd grade but never really talked. We had one class together where we were the only freshman and she just kinda went "mine now, go socialize with the group I already have." Did that with the other two and when the massive group left during covid, it was just the four of us. Bestie in church: the pastor decided to team the two of us up to work the Facebook Live feed during service. After talking for a bit she looked at me dead in the eye and went "hey bestie you're mine now" and that was that. Apparently everyone thinks I'm theirs now cuz they've all adopted me as their own
