I created a book documenting the world of the Common House Monster. These whimsical creatures live right beneath our feet, sometimes almost literally, yet are rarely studied in the naturalist community. With perseverance and many plates of homemade cookies, I was able to gain their trust and learn their ways.
I'm Carrie, an artist who loves creating whimsical things. My book "Things that go Bump" has been a long time in the making. For years I was too sick—I have schizophrenia—to work and complete my project. Finally, after much painful trial and error, I am on a treatment regimen that works, allowing me to create once again. I hope you enjoy my little monsters. If you want to see my previous article, click here.
