I’m 6 Feet Tall, Here Are My Problems That Only Tall Girls Will Understand (11 Comics)

Hello guys, here’s your fellow tall girl! I’m a 20-year-old freelancer from Romania and I make webcomics about daily things, anxiety, and the struggles of being a tall girl.

Being tall is pretty awesome. Being 6-feet-tall has some advantages but besides all of them, most situations are literally awkward. For me, having a short best friend is one of them.

Tall girls, let me know what situations you have to face daily, and tell me in the comments if you see yourself in these comics!

My name is Violeta and I am an editor here at Bored Panda. I love reading memes for a living. It’s obviously much more than that, but I appreciate the variety of topics, information, and pics I get to see every day and share with the world! Those funny memes really make my day too. Being born in the ’90s in post-Soviet Lithuania speaks more about me than I’d like to admit. I’m still learning about the world and myself, but I do love my friends, traveling, art, and my cat. My favorite fact to share about myself is that I used to hide meatballs in my friend’s pockets at lunch so I could go play outside. I wish all those meatballs could find their way back to me someday.

Move to the Netherlands, where you're just an average height person so you can complain that you can't reach items on the upper shelves in shops, that you nearly drowned in your bath, the sink is mounted uncomfortably high, the bed is too long and how people ignore you because they look over your head.

Indeed. Tall girl == just-above-average man, so all except the 'clothes' ones (like height of showers, length of bath/bed, ... ) aren't 'tall girl' problems. Go to Peru or Japan if you want to really feel like Godzilla.

I'm 5'10" and sweaters are the bane of my existence. I also have weirdly broad shoulders even though I'm thin, so it is basically impossible to find a sweater with long enough sleeves that doesn't make me look like I'm wearing a potato sack. They make tall jeans. Why can't they make long armed sweaters?

This whole article seems like its kind of a stretch ngl. Tall men have the same problems, fyi. Yeah we may have clothes that fit but where i live in eastern europe, if you're above 6 feet you have to shop at a store for larger people (2xl and above) to have a shirt that reaches down below your waistline. Bathtubs also suck, and having shorter friends still sucks. Stop thinking men dont have any problems like this and grow up, tall girls are great, no need to make a pity post for them to relate to.

I don’t think tall woman consider it a problem it’s just different. It’s a little hard. Harder to find clothes that REALLY fit. Harder to find friends and love. Harder to fit in, we get picked on , name called and all woman under say 5’6 don’t experience this much because it’s what society considers “normal” Please follow @lavishheights on IG you will be happy you did. Honestly you are not the only one. In my area I discovered today that the clothing shops just do not seem to care about us short ladies at all. Seriously. I entered one shop and after about five minutes I realised that there were no clothes for short females my height. I have to either go to a tailor or buy stuff online which I hate doing due to lack of pictures.

At your same height, I can relate to it all! When I shop for pants, I look at the clothing racks for the pants long enough to be touching the floor but am usually still frustrated with them not being long enough(need a 34" length) . One thing you left out is finding tall guys to date when the average height of a man these days is well below 6 feet! The worst part is that there are many short men attracted to tall girls...ughhh...that's the hardest part of being a tall female. Thanks for the comics/laughs!

My height is 1.79m and recently i was admitted to hospital in Singapore. As you notice all hospital beds, they put barriers at all sides so you won't fall. I had to bend my legs a bit.

Reverse for short girls - I'm not quite 5' (151cm) and can't find clothes to fit (though I can at least take the hems up), supermarket shelves are too high, bathroom basins and kitchen bench tops are too high ... oh to be 'average' height!!

The panel that's captioned "What Do I See" regarding her short friend? That little woman is pretty much what I look like, except I'm tan and not yellow. And I'd have on a "Bowie as 'The Thin White Duke'" t-shirt. 😊 My best friend is 5' 10, and naturally very thin, so I'm familiar with all that stuff. I could never borrow her clothes.

These are so relatable. I ordered the wrong size clawfoot tub. Perfect for a taller person. I'm 5'4". I stretch out...I drown. Thsy do make longer tbus.

My height is 1.79m and recently i was admitted to hospital in Singapore. As you notice all hospital beds, they put barriers at all sides so you won't fall. I had to bend my legs a bit.

Aside from the gender-specific clothing, every one of these also applies to men. I thought here in 2020 we weren't supposed to exclude people.

This is so cool! I feel the same and I am 5'9'', but that's why I feel that the future is in custom made clothing :) https://teyxo.com/lifestyle/bye-bye-standard-sizes-hello-custom-sizes/

I'm merely a mutant with a very long body and short legs. 5ft 8. Legs the same length as my 5ft friend and body the same length as the 6ft 3 friend. I wear a lot of dresses as tops.

These were awesome. The first one is so true for me sometimes since I’m taller than 80% of girls. I’m 5ft 6.6in.
