Who Is Lainey Molnar?
According to the web search results, Lainey Molnar's real name is Lainey D. Molnár. She is a Hungarian living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. As social media doesn't reflect reality nowadays, Lainey successfully spreads social messages through her Instagram. Lainey began posting her art on Instagram in October 2019.
Eventually, she stepped away from social media due to persistent online harassment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she began sharing the signature drawings she became known for. Some were portraits of people like Meghan Markle, Lady Gaga, and Emma Watson. Best known for her comics, Lainey is also a motivational speaker, owning her online course Soul Sister Academy.
Furthermore, a Lainey Molnar meme was created, the Laineyball. It’s an exploitable meme character based on Lainey Molnar. 4chan, the popular image board community, was the platform where it went viral. Laineyball and 4chan users intend to annoy the author by making it more popular than the original comic.

Condoms ARE uncomfortable! I imagine they don't feel too comfortable for a woman either. [Start Dodgy infomercial voice now] That's why you need... LUBE. Simply place a little inside the condom for more comfortability for YOU, and plenty on the outside for your partner. Don't forget to trim your pubes to avoid 'snagging'. LUBE! So from us here at LUBE, we say to you: Don't be a prick, put a condom on your d**k. But make sure you remember, to add some lube your member.
I have a PhD, work full time at a university as as scholar and project manager and also work in a café/bar on weekends (just because I enjoy the company and change of scenery; scholars can be really dull). It*s really amusing how SOME people treat me differently, depending on the context. Helps determine who is cool and who is not. Moral? Always treat others with respect
Unless your health problems are invisible and chronic. Then most people (including doctors) do not care
Especially your mental health problems. Oh, you want to hurt yourself? It’s because you think it’s funny and cool (a quote from my lovely mother, who thinks mental health problems have to be earned)
Load More Replies...People think that if you don't bleed you don't hurt. They are wrong.
I get what the artist is trying to point out, but from my experience with both this just feels like it's pitting people with chronic physical conditions against those with mental conditions. We have more in common with each other than with anyone else. The problem is a society that refuses to accommodate anyone who can't output the maximum amount of profit on their own.
Indeed. People with visible known diseases like cancer get a lot of attention. But msot chronically ill people just gaslighted and abandoned
Load More Replies...Maybe you can add a “have you tried to cure yourself with yoga?” speech bubble to one of the nurses the first panel, and lose the smile on the patient’s face. Also lose the cards and flowers. Unless it’s a one-time hospitalization that won’t burden anyone long term, our families have mostly ditched us for not being able to do housework anymore, and our friends because we stopped being fun.
The myth that people with physical disabilities or illnesses are able to get the care they need and aren't gaslit and abused and treated horribly by the medical profession and by society needs to go die in a pit. It isn't even just people with physical illnesses or disabilities that are invisible. Disabled people are treated like crap by doctors and society, period. We need to be uniting not continuing this in-fighting that the grass is greener on the other side of disability.
I think that's true of disabled people, who are seen as "less than", but not so much people who are having problems that might be fixed. My mother had cancer and the 3 years before she died she got a lot of help and attention from all directions. Same thing with several family members that had heart attacks and another family member that tore his ACLU in a football game. I don't know of anyone who had temporary physical ailments that were abandoned to suffer alone.
Load More Replies...I remember seeing a doctor about depression and asking her for a referral to see a mental health professional. Her answer: "you should see the cup half full." I was floored.
Wow! I lucked out. When I told my doctor I was depressed, she asked me what was wrong, prescribed me an anti-depressant, refered me to a therapist, and cautioned me that the meds may only be a band-aid (also that the meds could make me feel worse before they made me feel better), and she made me promise that I would talk to someone. She also let me know that a lot of churches offer support meetings, and the fact that I'm agnostic would not matter.
Load More Replies...I have both chronic invisible physical and mental health problems. Nobody cares about any of them, trust me.
As someone with both (I use a wheelchair, have psychical disorders and also have mental health disorders) this just isn't true and it makesnpeople think we are more accepting of psychical illness than we are mental. We are all around just shitty to disabled and sick people.
Mental illness is as real and true as any illness affecting our bodies. It would be obscene to tell someone with a broken leg to "shake it off." Plus, mental illness is not the sufferer's fault. It just isn't.
Imagine mental Health and physical health issues both being invisible and both being treated like a choice. It’s crushing
As a woman who has both, let me disabuse you of the notion that I receive tons of pink support and flowers due to my physical disability.
How about invisible mental and physical health issues and being told it’s a choice
People who say this have never suffered from a mental illness. What a world we live in, eh?
Load More Replies...I always thought, if I'd had a broken arm someone would have cared a lot more about me than they cared about my broken mind :(
I always wish that we people with mental illnesses would be given a wheelchair with our diagnosis. The only way people will realize that we have a chronic illness is when they can see it.
Good old masculine mentality if your not bleeding to death, you can just walk it off and get back to work and if you commit suicide, you were just not strong and manly enough to handle life.
well, this isn't all the time. i have depression and other stuff and my family is always there for me when i need them. pls don't downvote me
lmao when your depressed and someone says "you should really try yoga"
Have you tried it though? They're not saying it as the only treatment, but part of the treatment. You can take pills, but those cause a lot of side effects for which you'll need more pills to cure. If you go into therapy and expect the therapist to solve all of your problems for you, there's no point in going because that's not how it works. If you really want to get better with your mental illness, then you need to approach it the same way someone with a physical illness would - open to trying anything to get better.

But yes I've experienced same/ similar. Just bc u can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist
Yes! No. Matter. What. We all deserve to be treated same respect, kindness, etc. Walk a mile in in either persons shoe, ( mocasin,as my dad would say)
Society needs to change the way they view mental health, people die and it's just as serious but I get finding help for it is also hard and you really have to be your own advocate which when you suffer from MDD etc takes a lot of energy to do.
I have fibromyalgia, which doesn't have any visible signs. So, obviously that meant me not wanting to be a constant trampoline for my ex was just some made up excuse. I used to wish I could break out in purple stripes or something.
Its shocking how little medicine understands mental health. They've made huge leaps and strides in physical health but the mind got left behind.
Not all invisible health struggles are mental health. I have a handicap parking placard for my car. I get the worst looks, comments, notes on the car & 1 woman called police telling him I was using a borrowed placard. My DL# & photo is on the back of it! She judged me as a cheater. What they don't know is I have degenerative disk disease. Most people get this when they get older, but mine started at 23 due to radiotherapy treatment. It causes constant & horrible pain. From age of 48 to 57, I was either in bed or a wheelchair. It took 3 yrs, an attorney & 2 hearings to get approved for a morphine pump implant. With that & PT, driving, walking, going to dinner or movie w/my hubs was doable again. I walk slower but still need a close space due to fatigue. I turned in my wheelchair plate for the placard. Because there's no outward sign of a handicap, I get judged as not deserving of it. In reality though, how does my placard involve them?
Every male doctor practically that doesn't know what's wrong with you especially if your a woman you have anxiety my dear depression 🙂 your just being dramatic months/ years later when problem become visible impossible to miss disregard mam unfortunately you have this condition things would be better if we knew sooner smh
Sometimes I would daydream about getting a physical injury to get the break that my mental one actually needs.
It's not a physical health /mental health divide; it's acute, short term illness vs chronic long term conditions.
I hate how some people refuse to aknowledge that mental struggles are real, and people with mental health issues are deemed "attention seeking"
And try getting the short term or long term disability insurance to cover any of it. I stopped even submitting claims. As long as my FMLA is in place to protect my job and the health insurance is covering the treatment, it’s not worth the tears and anger for the disability
Mental health is so underminded. Like, everyone cares about physical health issues and stuff, while no one ever looks at depression, anxiety, ptsd, and other stuff. That is probably why teens snap and shoot people. Everyone thinks school/ electronics are the cause of it, when really it could be family issues, lack of friendships, being bullied/teased, and many other aspects that nobody bothers with.
Nobody who has chronic physical health problems similar to chronic mental health problems has any experience like the top picture.
Please be careful with this one... I'm insulted. I have had chronic & disabling physical health issues since 2013. Hardly ever do I have people around me. I can't walk unassisted yet I can't get any help from doctors. My friends only stick by me for a few months then I have to find new ones. If you're lucky enough to have something that gets cured or heals somewhat quickly that's great. You probably get to have great support from everyone. But I only have my parents. If I went to the hospital they wouldn't be able to help me. Not to mention being in the hospital is NOTHING like that first picture... Please don't talk about stuff you don't understand. This is not funny or true.
Yep! Gotta break something to get some sympathy. Sadly that doesn't even work. Suffer from severe depression anxiety disorder. Broke my leg while I was moving, got a bit more help. Not much.
Ah bless, found yet another triggered man child who is insecure in their masculinity.

The artist told Bored Panda she has a miles-long list of illustration ideas on her phone: “I sometimes literally wake up in the middle of the night to write down new ones, and I grab my phone to make notes at any point when I see something inspiring.”
When she sits down and draws that idea from the list, she finds it resonates with the moment. As Lainey sometimes loves to binge-watch TV shows while drawing, she says: “Still, usually, I like to create an ambiance, like candles, incense, and good music, because I believe the vibes and emotions also go into every artwork.”
Is Lainey Molnar Art Personal?
When asked whether she has any personal favorites from her illustrations, Lainey said it’s the one where she compares “someone with physical health struggles” and “someone with mental health struggles.”
The artist shared that this is because it’s a very personal one. Lainey admits she struggled with her mental health for over 18 years. So, she is the one who knows how complicated it can be living with this invisible illness.
Even though Lainey usually explores female empowerment topics straightforwardly or funnily, the artist also adds, “Still, at the end of the day, we are all simply human beings. I find it crucial to address stigmatized topics because it gives so many of us relief to know that we aren't alone.”
Because looking pretty for that one random guy in the street is every woman ever's purpose, of course /s
The very definition of natural is 'existing in or derived from nature'. Your body is natural until you have an unnatural change. Pregnancy is one of the most natural things there is!
I needed this. I’m short and flat and small for my age. When someone says they’re jealous I always think they are joking.
agreed, i'm average and short, can't find any nice clothes to fit my B cups and big af ass.
And both require a lot of hard work, practicing, and other words that I'm not smart enough to know. (I used to be a ballet dancer and Im assuming about the other one...)
What Motivates Modern Women Like Lainey?
Motivation and creative block are some of the most crucial topics for all modern women, especially artists. Lainey hasn’t had to experience creative block very often. The illustrator claims she simply has too much to say: “In an ideal world, a lot of what I’m communicating would be obvious, but as we’re not there yet, I don't mind processing the same pain points over and over again via a visual medium.”
Lainey is thrilled about the feedback she gets, as she says it’s “overwhelmingly positive.” Of course, that would drive any artist’s self-esteem, right? So, Lainey’s case is also not an exception, as she finds feedback as an endless source of motivation.
I can confirm. After having spent 35 years of insecurity over different aspects of my body, now that I am pregnant and my body is growing another human being, I'm astonished and very very satisfied with my body even though it has changed enormously.
What Influences Lainey’s Art?
Artists like Adam Ellis, Tiny Moron, and Wowocomics inspire Lainey. She says: “They all have very different styles and a very different sense of humor, but I think it always comes down to personality that shines through the art, so there is space for all unique creators to show how they perceive the world.”
Looking at these artists from Lainey’s perspective, she values vision and purpose over technical skills such as anatomy or shading.
What's Up With Lainey Molnar?
One of Lainey’s most significant projects was releasing a book Mating in Captivity: Reconciling the Erotic and the Domestic. As she has worked in publishing and was a blogger for more than a decade, the artist claims herself as a “huge bookworm.” Hence, captions in Laine’s art play an equal role as the illustrations themselves.
Daily, she shares her art with her one million followers on her Instagram. Lainey keeps her comics consistent, exploring the same social topics and keeping an authentic style, as she claims: “I really hope that I can create something magical that will help women be happier and more liberated from societal expectations.”
I really love this - it makes me feel more comfortable with my body and my lifestyle
Half of me loves the inclusive body positivity. The other half notices this is a much more positive yuppie-dom than I grew up with, but nobody is broke, rural, or old.
....How can you tell nobody is broke or rural? Is it because of what they're wearing? You can find cheap and stylish clothes and people who live in rural areas can wear nice clothes....

In doing my little part to adress societies double standards, I did NOT raise my sons to see femails as trophies or conquest. I know this will sound old fashioned, but I have encouraged them to wait for marriage. I know that isn't going to happen, but it's a good baseline. As for my daughter. At 9 years old she is one belt away from her Black Belt in TKD, and I have been teaching her hand to hand and take down for self defense. I also take time to explain the physical advantages women have in situations. She also does jazz and tap dance. In short I won't have to be one of those dads who threatens her dates. We are raising a strong and confident young woman.

Abuse occurs from all angles. It's not just male on female, as women so wrongly proclaim (which is just a way to deflect from their own disgusting behaviors and attitudes). Abuse from a female is absolutely real, and happens a lot more than people think. I'd say they're actually more mentally abusive than males are overall. These kinds of cartoons ignore facts like that while at the same time try to claim they're about some kind of "equality" thing. Nope. It's about being the same way you claim men are, the actions of which you claim to hate. It's called hypocrisy and double standards.
Notice how you won’t find anything like this about men on the internet to make US feel better. Now I understand that there are many differences but how often men get mental help? We suck it in no matter what. And when we do speak out? No. One. Cares.
