Balancing serious social issues with humor in comics is no easy task. It's like walking a tightrope, trying not to fall on either side. That's why we were curious to know how "Blobby And Friends" manages to talk about important topics and still keeps the comics fun and enjoyable. Zack, the creator, shared that finding the balance is an ongoing journey, much like real life. "I want to entertain our readers to a degree, but sometimes when an issue is particularly serious it demands the spotlight and I try to just leave the funny bits for a different time. Unfortunately, I am not always getting it right. At the very least I've learned that you can't mix a serious cause with a cheap joke."

Talking about long-term goals, Zack shared that he definitely wants to focus more on the narrative and interpersonal relationships between the characters. "I've been dying to dive deeper into the lives of Lily and Punk Kid. There's so much to explore there. Hoping that I won't disappoint!"

As a bigger guy who is sometimes a loner, I am sure I have made some people uncomfortable in my life and that doesn't feel good, but I think it's important to try to think about the big picture, which is less "how do I stop seeming creepy" and more "how do I support a culture where people (especially women and other currently oppressed groups) feel safe and welcome?". Women aren't paranoid, they really are more likely to be victims, and moreover they are less likely to be believed or taken seriously when they are victims. As long as that is true, or as long as we basically don't even bother with cases of missing indigenous women, or as long as police are more likely to shoot or arrest a black person than to believe they are the victim, then there won't be a situation where men, especially white men, can walk alone on a street at night without others feelings discomfort or fear, and while that's a little unfair to men, it's MUCH more unfair to everyone else.

For me it is just as bad when there's some young couple walking ahead of me on the walking trail and they always walk extremely slow and give No room for anyone To pass. They see me behind them but don't care my legs are cramping up from trying to walk 0.5 mph

It's not paranoia though, sadly. Men really do perpetrate (a lot) more violence, especially among strangers, and your "it's not my problem" attitude certainly doesn't help that.

As much as I don't really understand why people get so riled up when a popular character's ethnicity is changed, I would very much like to see how it would go if a traditionally black character was suddenly portrayed as white. It seems to me this has to go both ways and it would become less suspicious.
