When giggling at your favorite funny cartoons, do you ever think who the person behind them is? Do they look like the character in one of the funny drawings, or maybe the cartoonists behind it is actually a cat? On the other hand, when envisioning a modern artist, do they look like us, regular people, or are uber stylish and cold?
Below, Bored Panda has put together a list of side-by-side pics featuring famous artists and their works. From C-Cassandra to Sarah C. Anderson to The Oatmeal to Owlturd - we've included all of these cartoon artists and more! Keep on scrolling to take a look and get ready to be surprised - some of the characters and the best cartoonists are extremely alike!

Why are all these comic artists so good looking?!?! Not fair to be both talented AND gorgeous!
well, the world is known to be unfair. ^ ^ ... one thing I noticed that most female comic artists prefer striped clothing, guess i need to buy lotsa striped shirts maybe i'll be good at drawing comics, too
Load More Replies...LOVE THIS!!! It's great to see the faces behind so many wonderful cartoons (and the books that I own. a fair few, actually, by now)
I wish I could draw or even be a little creative. I can't even draw a straight line to save my life. LOL
Don't worry, creative people never liked the straight lines anyway. ;)
Load More Replies...They are beautiful and talented. I always wondered who is behind this and I finally know. Thanks. Love them all.
This is really cool! Knowing what the artists actually looked like never came to mind. I just love how the artists Sarah's Scribbles, Cassandra have such original styles of how they portray themselves. Though, in all honesty, I never knew that the artist behind Lunarbaboon actually included himself in his comics as the dad. Which is also awesome!
Thanks to all of these artists for making such good comics. They really make the day and bring smile on face. Thanks again. ;)
Really good looking people drawing themselves as average looking.. What....? Anyways loved this post
Funny to see how most of them look like their cartoon characters. :D
