Artist Upcycles Trash By Sculpting Vibrant Coral-Like Growths On It, And We’re Digging The Message
Anything can become art in the hands of a true talent. Stephanie Kilgast takes discarded items like cans, broken plates, jars and sculpts around them, giving the trash new lives as pieces of art.
The French artist uses polymer clay to create nature-inspired forms sprout from the found objects. "My work is an ode to life, where plants and fungi meet insects, animals, and minerals," she writes on her website. "These encounters are growing in a colorful swirl of diversity, and the erratic growth develops on found objects, in a dialogue between humanity and nature."

Yes, the many oil spills are doing tremendous damage to everything in the ocean, including the fish we eat !!!
I like how these are mostly made of shiny tin cans. Gives masterpieces like this even more prettiness.
I'm glad I finally clicked on this, very cool... not to dumb it down, but it reminds me of the movie Annihilation, which I also enjoyed.
Wow. These are amazing. Does anybody know what media the artist used?
It's polymer clay, she has some tutorial videos up on Youtube
