Chrissy Teigen Gets Stuck On Absolute Worst Flight Ever, Hilariously Live-Tweets Everything
All Nippon Airways Flight 175 was doomed to suffer backlash when they decided to turn around halfway through an 11-hour long haul, but once they realized sass queen Chrissy Teigen was on board, things escalated pretty damn fast.
The model and her husband, John Legend, were on their way from Los Angeles to Tokyo with ANA when it came to light that one of the plane’s passengers had boarded the wrong flight. The flyer in question was, indeed, headed to Tokyo with his brother, but had apparently booked with United instead and had somehow bypassed All Nippon’s security. According to the airline’s staff, they were then required by law to return to LAX after 4 hours of travel, resulting in what Teigen has now labelled an ‘8-hour flight to nowhere.’
Thankfully, the reigning monarch of social media was live-tweeting the whole thing, and her play-by-play updates ended up being the most hilarious thing we’ll probably see before this year is over. Scroll down to read more, and tell us your worst flying experience ever in the comments!
Model and queen of sass Chrissy Teigen just had the weirdest experience ever – a ‘flight to nowhere’
In true Chrissy fashion, she live-tweeted the entire thing, and… Well, she was just a little bit salty
Her followers tried their best to investigate…
But after such an exhausting ordeal, she just couldn’t even deal with it anymore
It turned out that it was all due to a passenger who wrongly boarded the same All Nippon Airways flight as her
People were hanging off her every update
Chrissy and her husband, John Legend, were eventually put up in the airport lounge
Finally, the time came to try it all over again
Chrissy and John thankfully arrived in Tokyo last night – just in time for a sushi date!
What was your worst flying experience? Tell us below!

Share on FacebookI don't understand why people are complaining about Chrissy being aggravates by this. How would you feel if this happened to you? Because it happened to 228 other people who were not Christy and John Legend. Imagine being super psyched to visit Tokyo and then having to have a flight that is twice as long and makes you miss out on another day of your vacation and add more exhaustion to a very jet laggy trip? Sure, there have been worse flights (like highjacked or crashes) but this is a mistake on the airline's part that should have been easily avoided.
I would be livid. I hate flying to begin with.
Load More Replies...I think a lot of people who were on an 11 hour flight that was turned around because 1 person out of 250 had a ticket for a different company would be upset as well and would tell their friends. That is what she is doing. Telling her friends and followers that she had a weird and annoying travel mishap. There is nothing wrong about that. Wouldn't you be ticked off if the same thing happened to you?
"the most hilarious thing we’ll probably see before this year is over". Seriously? There was not one "hilarious" thing in that entire post.
If the police are involved that suggests a criminal is onboard. The plane is American soil until it touches doen in Tokyo - no jurisiction. So they gotta go back so he can be arrested in America Yea I watch my crime dramas
Passenger on the wrong airplane is a huge security breach. And any major problem will mean a return to takeoff point if the flight has not reached 1/2 way.
Load More Replies...How could this be the “Absolute Worst Flight Ever” when other flights have crashed with everyone killed?
Yeah, cause those people can talk.... It's all relevant to whoever is experiencing it and she didn't give it that title. What she was saying is what anyone would be saying if they're going through the same situation. If you'd claim that wouldn't be frustrated by it all you're talking out of your a*s.
Load More Replies...I guess I've got a different definition of 'hilarious' than the author of the article.
There are so many people on here blasting CT. For what? She's having fun with what could easily be a very frustrating experience. I think her sense humor is great and instead of spending the time bitching and moaning she's having a good time with it.
Worst flight ever? Hardly. This titles business is getting ridiculous. Get it together, Bored Panda!
I thought she was pretty calm, cool, and collected in this situation. I would have been raging if someone wasted 8 hours of my life like this.
Load More Replies...Wow some of the people in the comment section really need to start living their lives in a more positive manner. There was absolutely no reason to call her spoiled or entitled. I think she's very funny and really down to earth considering her lifestyle. She took a very annoying situation that would have pissed off that best of us and made it funny.. She's a sweetheart.
I also think it's pretty obvious (especially if you have seen her tweet on other matters) that she is talking somewhat tongue-in-cheek.
Load More Replies...Oh wow...you have a comfortable seat and an eight hour delay. The delay is annoying. Very annoying. However, there are many flights that are much further delayed. Or directly cancelled. Or experiencing really, really bad turbulences. Or, alas, crashing. Worst flight ever? Not even close! Not even remotely near the category of bad flights! Instead of hysterically tweeting enjoying some time with your toddler might have been a better choice.
Chrissy never said that this was the worst flight ever, the person who wrote this did. So don't put this on Chrissy.
Load More Replies...And why didn't the ticket scanner catch the error? If not the machine (why not??) the person? Wow..
Chrissy is just trying to understand why they got turned around and there a lot of good BP explanations, i just wonder why they did not explain it to her and the other passengers. I'm pretty sure her followers explained it to her tho
WTF?! How bizarre!! The story they are giving her makes NO sense!! If it were that simple, then why keep people in the lounge AND interview everyone?? Something is rotten in Denmark folks!
I must agree with her. If she was on that flight, it must have been the worst flight ever.
She's funny and smart, and making the best of a bad sitch. I like her.
I know it's a major security breach, but the logistics make no sense. Should just apprehend the passenger and send them back as soon as the plane reached Tokyo.
Worst flying experience? While waiting to taxi on board a Delta flight, the engine fell off. We had to change planes. They had to pop out to get more duct tape.
"Everything is amazing right now and nobody’s happy. Like, in my lifetime the changes in the world have been incredible… Flying is the worst because people come back from flights and they tell you…a horror story…They’re like: “It was the worst day of my life. First of all, we didn’t board for twenty minutes, and then we get on the plane and they made us sit there on the runway…” Oh really, what happened next? Did you fly through the air incredibly, like a bird? Did you partake in the miracle of human flight you non-contributing zero?! You’re flying! It’s amazing! Everybody on every plane should just constantly be going: “Oh my God! Wow!” You’re flying! You’re sitting in a chair, in the sky!"
Who the heck is Crissy Teigen? And why do people seem interested??
If the mistaken passenger was going to Tokyo anyways and there was room on the flight, why did they turn around? Rather the bad press and angry passengers/lost money than the bad precedent of letting the unpaying individual stay on the flight?
Worst flight ever? Nearly died. We were one of thsoe "flew too high" flights like you see on "Mayday!/Air Disasters" show. We dropped from "normal cruising at 30K-plus feet" to within "Hey, I can see those are trees down there!" in the time it took me to say most of a "Hail Mary". Our pilots regained control, or it would've been that Air France thing all over again. So.... Perspective check for the celebrity, please. Good grief. BTW, they can't settle this in TOkyo b/c the guy got past security, so there's this weird thing called a *terrorism risk*. Y'know. Like that ancient history from 2001? *headdesk*
At least it's not Trump or The Kardashian's throwing a fit... time. Some celebrities whine to damn much!
i certainly agree that Ms. Teigen is being just a bit rude, but is it even worth our time to complain about someone's complaining? sure we have our thoughts, but in my humble opinion, they don't need to be so harsh.
A celebrity excessively tweeting is like a town crier doing his job. Who speaks loud publicly must accept the reactions. I do not consider my above raised opinion to be harsh, just elaborated.

It was like we were in a blender and everyone’s heads were bobble heads. First they suspended all hot drinks, then all hot food. Then i saw the worried look on the flight attendant’s face. They had to be seated at least 8 times throughout an 8 hour flight. I was legit convinced this was how I die, so i start saying my prayers.. that was 10 years ago. I still have flying anxiety today. I have to wear ear plugs as I get in my seat, so I don’t hear and mechanical noises as we take off. I have since been on many flights, but any turbulence sends me to tears.
On my flight to Baltimore last summer, we had a luggage cart hit the plane. We were stuck at the airport for a good 12 hours while they had an inspector fly in and had to find another plane. All the stores were closed and there were several elderly folks who had no money with them or just couldn't buy food or water. It was about 10 PM by the time we finally left and we arrived at around 1 or 2 AM. We were initially supposed to depart at 10 AM. Nothing dangerous or anything, we just had an entire day in Baltimore wasted :/
I could have been cheerfully sassy too, if I was sprawled out in first class. Different story if you're wedged in the commeners seats from hell.
Why is this a post? This is the stupidest f*****g thing I've ever read. This isn't funny or amusing at all.
And everyone else complains too. What's your point?
Load More Replies...I'm guessing you would be that bored if you were on an 8 hour flight to nowhere, preceeding another 14 hour flight.
