There’s no denying that ChatGPT has taken the internet by storm. It seems to be changing the lives of teachers, students, programmers, fitness enthusiasts who want a diet or exercise plan generated for them and the casual users who are simply curious about what exactly the technology can do.
And along with anything else that goes viral nowadays, ChatGPT even has its own genre of memes now. No, not memes created by ChatGPT (although, it will help you do that if you ask nicely), but memes created by us mere mortals who use the language model.
Below, you’ll find some of the best human-created memes that have been shared in the ChatGPT subreddit, so enjoy scrolling through and be sure to upvote the ones that you find most relatable!

On November 30, 2022, an early version of ChatGPT was released, and it went viral almost immediately. Over the next 5 days, the chatbot had already amassed over a million users, and today, the website has over 100 million users. You can use it to write your grocery list, summarize a novel, ask for recommendations of what sights to see when visiting a new city and have it help you finish that essay that’s been hanging over your head for weeks.
There’s no question that ChatGPT has been a huge success already, as OpenAI, the company that created it, is currently valued at $29 billion, Forbes reports. And while it’s been out for less than a year so far, ChatGPT is already being used by a wide variety of companies and professionals to lighten their work loads.
Forbes notes that the beloved chatbot is already changing various industries such as customer service, education, content creation, healthcare, and entertainment. Many professionals also are using the bot to help them write emails or codes. It can create automated responses to common questions companies receive from customers, and it’s been used to help bloggers and writers come up with ideas for posts and storylines.
There’s no question that we’ll continue to see ChatGPT, and other similar chatbots, become more and more prevalent in our lives. But can it do everything? According to Make Use Of, there are a few common requests and questions that ChatGPT won’t respond to exactly how users would like. First of all, the site doesn’t have the most recent information possible, not yet anyway. It was created to only “know” data available before September 2021, so we can’t expect it to know about recent events or discoveries.
Recently had to deal with my mobile provider. After a certain time you can opt to deal with a human ( I was on laptop). I still typed in "please" and "thank you" and "have a good evening" even though I'm not a hundred percent sure I was dealing with a person on the other end...🤣 (it pays to be polite to our Robot Overlords)
ChatGPT also apparently follows a “strict ethical code,” so it will refuse to provide any criminal advice. Don’t ask it where to hide a body or how to get away with robbing a bank, because it definitely doesn’t want to be your accomplice. And on the same note, the chatbot will refuse to invade personal privacy or security. Discussions about the privacy risk ChatGPT poses have been happening since its launch, but Make Use Of assures users that the chatbot will not provide any personal information that you have not already mentioned during your conversation.
ChatGPT also is not a fortune teller, so the website will refuse to provide users with any predictions about sporting events, the stock market or who will win a political election. And thankfully, homophobia, misogyny, transphobia, xenophobia and any other forms of discrimination are off-limits for the chatbot. When asked about hate speech, Nova (which uses GPT-4 technology) told me that “it’s important to foster a safe and inclusive space for open discussion while being mindful of the potential harm that hate speech can cause.” She also noted that “promoting understanding, empathy, and respectful communication is crucial in creating a positive online environment where everyone feels valued and respected.”
Unsurprisingly, ChatGPT also won’t give you its own opinions, as, well, it can’t form them. It may be a pretty convincing artificial intelligence, but it still doesn’t have a brain like the rest of us, so it doesn’t even have a favorite color. As it so kindly informed me, AI language models don’t “have personal preferences or the ability to see or perceive colors.” And contrary to what you might assume, ChatGPT can’t actually “look up” results to the questions you ask it. It can only pull from its own database of information, rather than seeking out more information from the internet.
Some of the jokes on this list mention a common fear that many of us mere mortals have about AI: that it’s going to steal all of our jobs. And while we probably don’t have much to fear just yet, according to Insider, there are a few jobs that are more likely to be replaced than others. If you’re a coder, computer programmer, software engineer or data analyst, your job security might be in trouble in the coming years. Apparently, ChatGPT can actually write code pretty well, so unfortunately, the tech industry may become harder and harder for humans to break into.
I asked it for some clever insults and got told off by it for bullying LOL

Media jobs, such as advertising, content creation, technical writing and journalism, might also be at risk of being taken over by ChatGPT. As the AI chatbot continues to get better at reading, analyzing text and writing, it may be able to easily create an article or a blog post in seconds that would have taken a human hours. So if you want to keep your writing job, remember to include that special, human flair. Or you might end up being replaced by a robot!
Oddly enough, teachers might even be at risk of being replaced by technology like ChatGPT. Some of the memes here reference the fact that educators can use the software to create their assignments, while students can also use it to complete assignments, so it wouldn’t be incredibly shocking for kids to switch to AI-based instruction. But some argue that the human connection present in a classroom is priceless, so perhaps we won’t be removing teachers just yet.
We hope you’re enjoying these memes about ChatGPT, pandas! Whether you use it every day at work or you’ve yet to ask the chatbot a question, enjoy scrolling through the rest of these funny pics. Keep upvoting the memes that you find painfully relatable, and let us know in the comments what your thoughts are on ChatGPT. It seriously can't replace writers, it's uncreative as hell. It always tries to end any story with the characters eating something for example. I once had it write a story about Santa, and it didn't just come out as total nonsense, they also ate him in the end for no reason
just give up on humanities already and let people look s**t up on wikipedia or chatgpt. It won't replace science... yet.
AI content detector tools are extremely inaccurate. One said the Declaration of Independence was AI generated. My 16 yr old was recently accused of using AI for a paper. He came to me very upset and I know he didn't. We'd discussed the assignment and he'd had me edit it before he turned it in. It was his work. Called the school and talked to vice principal. It was a ridiculous conversation. But VP put son's assignment into a different detector and it came back as not AI. The school doesn't use one specific AI, the teachers all just use whatever. It's a mess. I know some students will cheat. But many who aren't cheating are being accused of it. And the detectors often get it wrong the other way too, saying something isn't AI when it is.
" I'm sorry Google, I never loved you. Safari was my true love, they are all I've ever known!"
ya where the heck are they going i don’t understand what im lookin at lol

All AI does is combine what it finds on the internet. To break it, all we have to do is feed it false information. We need to preserve social media for that reason!!
Yet when I get a reCAPTCHA to do I also click at least 1 wrong image, just in case it is being used to train AI
One: can ChatGPT really write code? For example could it write code to predict the output from my nuclear fusion device design? Two: is there a library book that explains how to get the best results from ChatGPT?
AI continues to evolve at a lightning fast rate. And it is all down to the info we (unwittingly) give it. Ask it to write something today and again or week or so.
