Cozy Matrimonial Room
late 90s. i had an interview over 100 miles away. temps were over 100 in a car with no air conditioning. i called a bed and breakfast and asked if they would allow me to come, shower, change, etc. so i wouldn't look like a sweaty mess. the owner asked if i would like to come a day early. told her i couldn't afford it. she said no problem; she didn't have any reservations so come anyway and pay what i could. ended up in a mini antebellum mansion tucked away in the woods which was strange because it was right off the main part of the town. peaceful, cozy, and cool because of the trees. could have stayed for days. the owner gave me a key, told me to lock up if i left and then left out a breakfast because 'you can't go to an interview with your tummy rumbling'.
a bit bummed I missed my chance to add a pic (by a lot) but i would say bundled up in a RV in the mountains while there’s a rainstorm going on (we were parked and on flat ground, we were all quite safe) and it immediately felt so cozy and comfortable (again, sorry this comment is so late lmao)
