Tramai is a design ceramic studio based in Italy and set up by an architect and a restorer.
Its name means “trap” in Friulano, our local language, but it can also refer to someone who is high spirited and cheerful. This word was perfect for our artistic project: a trap-lab to catch brilliant ideas.
Our work is based on formal and color research. We experiment zoomorphic sculpture and figurine, by creating small animal shape ceramics with a special focus on rabbits. We use Tuscany white clay molded completely by hand and painted with tiny brushes to define the details according the Italian maiolica tradition.

That's really cute, so when you're finished drinking your tea, a little friend is just waiting at the bottom of your teacup to say hi (but a bit creepy as well) but overall, its really well done!
Ahah! You're right: actually we are shaping these tiny animals with little snorkels too!
