Woman Dresses Like Celebrities To Show That You Don’t Have To Be Skinny To Look Good (New Pics)
InterviewNew York body acceptance advocate, founder of Megababe, and author of 'Body Talk' Katie Sturino continues to wow the internet with her spot-on recreations of celebrity outfits. Katie believes that all bodies are beautiful and that you don’t need to be stick-thin or adhere to runway model standards to look gorgeous in an outfit. Check out some of Katie’s best new looks below and remember to upvote the ones that inspired you the most.
Katie fights for women of every size to be better represented in the fashion industry. She wants fabulous outfits to come in all shapes and sizes as part of the #SupersizeTheLook movement.
In a follow-up interview, Katie told Bored Panda about her latest projects, the current state of size acceptance in the fashion industry, and her style tips for women this summer and fall. Scroll down to have a read.
Done feasting your eyes on the amazing outfits in this list but yearning for more great style pics? We’ve got you covered. Check out Bored Panda’s previous features of Katie’s outfits here, here, here, and here.

I don´t get it - what is the point of this type of bags? They´re unpractical, small and useless, just like pockets on female clothes!

Katie told Bored Panda that what she's most proud of is her recent book 'Body Talk.' "It’s an interactive guidebook on how to tackle your deepest body issues and the response that I have received from it has been so emotional and rewarding. It has definitely been a bright light for me and many others in the context of the pandemic," she shared with us.
"The diet industry has turned reemergence from quarantine into this weight loss moment where you’re expected to 'start fresh' and 'lose the weight,' but the fact is we’re still in a pandemic and it is an extremely stressful time," Katie stated that the pandemic is still very much ongoing. "The focus on weight gain takes away from the larger point that you’ve survived the pandemic and this is the body that got you through it. Appreciating your body for those reasons is a big part of body acceptance too, beyond just how you look and feel in clothes. It’s more than that."

Oh girl, looking cute af but those watery lines coming from the corner? That is almost definitely wee. Fresh wee. That you are now standing in. I hope those weren't your shoes

Bored Panda wanted to get Katie's take on what might be holding the fashion industry back from size acceptance in 2021. Here's her perspective: "The new guards of the fashion industry seem to have a more open and accepting point of view when it comes to size, but I also think the old guard is still present and continues to perpetuate an antiquated perspective on sizing. It’s been pretty well debunked that it isn’t cost-prohibitive to launch extended sizing!"
Finally, we were curious to get some style tips for women this season. "Definitely lean into the biker short trend—it’s super comfortable and easy to style. Big chunky shoes are also back which I love! One trend I keep seeing and am especially excited about are white cowboy boots. I’m obsessed with a pair I just got from Tecovas," Katie wanted to share with all of you Pandas.

Previously, I had a couple of in-depth chats with Katie about her ongoing projects, her goals, and size inclusivity. Katie’s been very busy ever since the start of the pandemic.
"I’ve been able to really connect directly with my followers in a new way through Stories. I am sharing my personal beliefs more. I’m definitely not shooting as much 'street style' content," Katie told Bored Panda at the start of 2021.
Right before the lockdowns started, Sturino launched her Squeaky Clean Hand Sanitizer via her Megababe brand in January 2020.
"By March, the product sold out twice and the waitlist reached 15,000, but we were able to speed up our production to launch a bigger size as well as restock. We also launched the #MegababeCares initiative,” she said.

I don't think either of them look good. Fashionable, yes, I guess, but no, not good.
This would be something I would lounge around the house in for comfort.
both look fabulous, I wish I could get a bra that looks as good on me as it does on the Miss on the right. Being busty ain't easy.
i think this is my favorite on this list so far. its just a really cute outfit

“We asked healthcare workers what would help most with long shifts, and sent anti-sweat, chafe, and odor products to provide comfort to these healthcare heroes. At the end of December, we launched our Squeaky Clean Sanitizing Wipes,” Katie noted how she adapted some of her business decisions to the circumstances.
Katie continued to work on the ‘Make My Size’ project as well. “It has been interesting to see how the media has covered weight gain and loss in quarantine. I always share that this is not news!" she said.
In the body acceptance advocate’s opinion, those struggling with self-confidence ought to reframe the issue. “I always say, put your confidence on first!"
Kate Middleton
I'm sorry, Kay Middleton looks gorgeous in literally everything she wears!! (And yes, I know that's because she has the means to fund it, but still - I love her style!)
Katie Holmes
Katie’s goals are to empower women of all sizes, help make them more confident, help them celebrate their style, and to raise awareness of size inclusivity.
“Though size inclusivity in the fashion industry has made a lot of progress in the past few years, it is clear that there are still some brands that will never extend their range. We have a long way to go,” she told Bored Panda last summer, in June 2020.

Sorry but no.. You may say what you want but being skinnier does make you look better (although you don't have to look like a toothpick!)... As all above pictures clearly show.. Just get out there and start being fit instead of finding excuses. This upcoming fatty movement gotta go
Total denial. All of you are living in total denial. Obesity is killing this country and all I see now are articles like this: damn the truth, full acceptance ahead. In your crusade not to hurt anyone's feelings you are promoting lifestyles which will result in diabetes, cancer and the like. Polite lies like this do more harm than good. Awful.
Surely it depends on the outfit, some of these would look dreadful on anyone.
On the other hand, some outfits look better on her than on the "celebs".
Load More Replies...You guys ever have one of those moments when it hits you that you sound like an old person? I was just thinking, "Man, what a waste, she bought all of those ugly clothes to prove ugly clothes look ugly on any size." Nope, I am just out of style and apparently I am turning into my judgemental mother. Happy Friday dudes.
Saying this as a short woman with some belly, ample hips, and bum: not all clothes will look good on everyone. Wear what fits you, flatters you, boosts your confidence, and is comfortable. I'm not body shaming. I've tucked in button down shirts into my skinny jeans to accentuate my butt even though it means not hiding my belly, and I feel great. But at the same time, I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a crop top.
As a hetero man, my attraction to a woman is 100% based on her attitude and personality. Weight isn't something I even consider. ^^ You have an amazing attitude.
Load More Replies...Erm…yeah, she doesn’t look better or as good as any of the celebrities she’s trying to apt in the photos. It’s not just because of her body type but because it’s obvious she doesn’t, like most people, have the money to buy designer outfits like the celebrities are wearing, and it really shows.
Personally I find most of the celeb outfits awful. These outfits don't look expesive at all.
Load More Replies...These are getting a bit repetitive. Same lady spending ungodly amounts of money on celebrity clothes isn't doing anything for me.
I didn't see any brand names or price tags. What I did see was clothing that very similar, but not identical.
Load More Replies...Some look good others not so much. Us thicc women can be beautiful we just have to wear what's right for our bodies.
Scrolled through these pretty fast, but lets be real here. Jennifer Lopez is 52 years old. Shes not just "skinny" she is in amazing athletic shape for somebody who is 52. Nobody is competing with that
The only individuals I notice bringing up the "LOOK GOOD" portion are those who support fat acceptance; they are the only ones that bring up the ridiculous notion that "thin is beautiful" only to argue with it! When you're 35 years old and diabetic, looking beautiful is the last thing on your mind! It's not about looking beautiful; it's about keeping healthy. FAT IS UNHEALTHY, and no amount of fat acceptance bigotry can change that.
Look, I'm all for body acceptance, I really am. But coming from a person who in their lifetime has been skinny, fat and everything in between, I can tell you first hand that no matter what clothes look better on thinner people than they do on heavier people. I've been heavy and tried to dress the same way I did when I was thin and it just NEVER works out. It never looks the same and you almost always just look like a sloppier version of a thin person wearing the same outfit. Why do we need to keep trying to prove that you can look just as good as a fit celebrity who can afford designer clothes when the reality is you should just be trying to look like the the best version of YOU. Also, I don't even know who 3/4 of these people are.
You just can't stop being obsessed with how you look, can you? Even when you don't want people to judge you on your looks, you keep focusing on it. I wish you could buy rational thought.
Speaking as someone who could stand to lose weight, I'm sick of seeing the "its ok to be fat" but I'm also just as sick of seeing people fat shame, saying skinny is better. As long as you are in decent health, and you think you look good and you are comfortable, who cares what you wear. I don't think there needs to be a "fatty movement" (as Bogaert David puts it.) yes, morbidly obese people, that isnt ok and it is unhealthy, but for women like her, she looks fine and I don't understand the need for her to say "hey I can look just as good" well yea, of course you can if you style yourself right. Some things look bad on skinny girls too, or short girls, or tall girls, or whatever. ffs lets just all stop judging each other.
Ya its reverse body shaming, that was my first impression. Those models worked hard for their appearance, exercising and dieting. What did this woman do other than try and call them out.
While being overweight can be a health problem, you do not need to be as skinny as a tooth pick to have the perfect body.
No hate, and i think you should totally embrace how your body looks, but being overweight isnt healthy. So its not really something to be "proud" about. Not saying you should hide your body, but you should try and exercise or something. You can CHANGE your body. This would be better to do if you had a disability, or some scar, something permanent that you cant fix/change. And some people just have a thicker body. (Tho I will say, imo plus size are very beautiful lol) Dont hide your body tho! Its beautiful no matter what <3
I've always thought that loving yourself meant taking care of your body. Exercising and eating healthy. Not just saying "I love my body even though I'm dangerously overweight" . when you love something you take care of it
I think shes perfect...you do look even more attractive than the celebs in some outfits tho...id give this a 9 over ten honestly...so sweet
She is wearing propeely fitting and highly likely gone through a seamstress to fit her better.
Mobile is hard. What I wanted to say, was that clothes that fit properly look good. Why do celebrities wear their clothes so well? Their stylists fix them quite a bit to fit in the best possible way.
Load More Replies...Can we can it with the whole “obesity is unhealthy” thing? Yes, obesity is unhealthy, but I’m sure the person in this post knows that. They may be unable to lose weight for a variety of factors, or they may simply not want to, in which case that is entirely their choice. As strangers, it is not our job to tell this person that their weight is unhealthy.
if instead of this model there was an extremely thin girl everyone would complain that an anorexic model sends the wrong message and that thinness is not healthy, we cannot know if she is thin due to a metabolic problem or cannot gain weight .. only if the model is overweight it becomes politically incorrect to complain .. all excesses are not healthy and not saying anything to avoid hurting the sensitivity is certainly not helpful ..
Load More Replies...The clothes were a turn-off. You can't "look good at any size" in that stuff!
This is not having the desired effect she thinks it is. While body size does not necessarily have to be an attractiveness factor, this particular woman is not attractive. Like not at all. She needs to stop. Like just stop.
