Celebration: People At Festivals Removed From The Celebrations They’re Participating In
Celebration is a study of the use of personal images as parts of events or commemorative rituals. I’ve deliberately omitted the names of the events in which they were taken so that the focus relies on the visual aspect.
I’ve been traveling through Spain for over the past six years to attend various festivals and collect the images. My project resulted in something in between documentary and artistic photography. All photographs were shot in the full glow of the celebrations to capture the festive spirit. However, I had to pull the participants out of the spree to my improvised street studio so that their portraits would stand out.
The images are matched with each other without having any direct relationship, they just seem to keep visual parallelism and show general mood of remote events both geographically and conceptually.

Share on FacebookI think it would be a nice idea to take photos of people going home from pictures, the Joy! To especially find the nauding (in Estonian).
Did I really DO that! :) Going home from parties - was the plan. - Also, maybe yes, from going home after enjoying something.
