17-Year-Old Makes Hilarious TikTok Video Of Her Cat Dancing To “Mr. Sandman” And 1.5 Million People Love It
TikTok app provided a great platform for many viral memes. One of them – lipsyncing the 1954 Mr. Sandman song by the Chordettes with the nine-camera split filter. The Tik Tok video trend was started a couple of months ago by the user Enoch True who has since gathered 22.5 million views on his video. Many successful and not so successful videos emerged after the original video idea was posted and it seems that his trend is not going away soon.

Recently, another version of this meme took the internet by storm and it’s not hard to see why because this time, it’s performed by an adorable fluffy cat.
Jade Taylor-Ryan, a 17-year-old from Canada, posted a video of her funny cat, Ed, clapping, spinning and swirling away to the tune of Mr. Sandman. Jade told Bored Panda that he cat name is “inspired by Ed Sheeran because they have the same hair color!” and he is 4 years old.
It’s obvious that she managed to join together three of everyone’s most favorite things on the internet – cats, videos, and memes. So it’s not going to come as a surprise that the viral video has gathered over 7 million views and around 1.5 million likes since it was posted a couple of days ago. Jade, who has been using TikTok only for a few months said that the idea of making this video came out of nowhere. “Honestly, not much thought went into this video, I was just bored one night and I saw another users video using the 9-person filter and so I thought to myself, this would be funny if I did it with my cat and so I did!”

Jade was surprised at how other users reacted. “People reacted to it way more than I thought they would! Everyone thought it was super cute and funny at the same time and lots of people were saying that it made their day.” Watch the Tik Tok song yourself and tell us what you think in the comments!
