This Cat Leaps Into The Air Each Time She Goes Over This Exact Same Spot In The House

Back in 2013, a woman from Oregon adopted two adorable black kittens from the Cat Adoption Team. While Chess and Daffodil both came from different litters, they formed a close bond with each other. However, Chess was soon renamed after her owner Jeanine noticed the cat’s fondness of jumping around the house everywhere she went, and thus got the name Leapfrog.

One day, Jeanine noticed a particularly strange thing—Leapfrog jumped from the basement doorway through the adjacent kitchen doorway, as if trying to go over some obstacle that’s invisible to humans. Jeanine explained that the exact spot between the doors is where she usually puts things that need to be brought down to the basement; therefore, it seems that Leapfrog took it as a challenge. To keep Leapfrog entertained, her owner started placing random items there for Leapfrog to jump over and this resulted in a series of hilariously adorable Instagram videos. Both Leapfrog and Daffodil are quite the social media darlings, with over 19k followers on their Instagram accounts. Most of their posts feature Leapfrog’s athletic antics, while Daffodil also gets her fair share of internet fame. “We are two black kitties named Leapfrog who LEAPS and Daffodil who EATS,” reads the Instagram bio of the feline duo.

In addition to the Instagram page, Leapfrog also has her very own YouTube account in which “she” shares her most special jumps everyone needs to see. “Her real speed is literally like a rocket!” Leapfrog’s owner says on Instagram, and we guess we’ll have to agree upon witnessing the best leaps from this gorgeous cat.

Exquisite jumps became Leapfrog’s specialty, so her owners started sharing a series of videos of the jumping cat

“I am an actress and I adopted my first black cat from the ASPCA in New York City. Leapfrog is the 5th black cat that I have been a meowmy to. She is 7 and was adopted from the wonderful Cat Adoption Team in Sherwood, Oregon,” Leapfrog’s owner Jeanine told Bored Panda.

Talking about the jumpy antics of Leapfrog (who’s an expert mouse catcher, as Jeanine informed us), her owner told Bored Panda: “I work on my computer in the kitchen and would always see Leapfrog out of the corner of my eye darting over that spot. I have absolutely no idea why she jumps there,” Jeanine says. “She jumps indiscriminately all over the house.”

As it turns out, Jeanine’s husband was behind the idea of recording Leapfrog’s impressive jumps. “My husband suggested I have my camera rolling as he took Leapfrog down the stairs to see if she would leap after running up the stairs,” she explained. “Even though I knew she was very unique,” Jeanine says, “I certainly did not expect Leapfrog to become internet famous!”

For some reasons Leapfrog don't like that spot, she always jump over, it seems like something is out there only the cats can see that. So the owner put stuff there
