Last weekend I stumbled into a tranquil place during one my hikes. Castle forest lodge is an enchanting serene place. The place gets its name for the castle on top of a hill built for Queen Elizabeth when she visited Kenya.
An approximately 9 kilometre hike through the forest leads you to a beautiful waterfall. The water here is icy and as clear as they can be. It comes from Mt.Kenya.
The forest is also home to elephants, buffaloes, antelopes. monkeys and baboons and other smaller wild animals.
Not forgetting the indigenous trees treasured by the community that surrounds the forest.
Enjoy some images I took along the way.
