Trigger warning: this story contains graphic details that may be distressing to some
Casey Anthony, who once gripped America’s headlines after being the main accused in a chilling murder trial, now wants the world to watch her for different reasons.
Earlier referred to as “America’s most hated mom” by the media, Casey has now expressed that she wants to be the centerpiece of a TV show that would film her day-to-day life in Florida.
The show will offer viewers “an intimate window into the daily life of one of the most controversial women in America,” according to a TV proposal submitted on behalf of Casey.
The TV proposal also teases episodes of 37-year-old Casey working, socializing, dating, and sharing her unfiltered thoughts and opinions to viewers more than a decade after her high-profile acquittal in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
“In each episode, Casey will go about her day — working, socializing, dating. She will share her thoughts and opinions, and [she] will give an intimate look into her world,” the proposal said, as quoted by the New York Post.
It was in 2008 when Casey became a national spectacle after becoming the main accused in her daughter’s murder case, which captivated and horrified the world due to the sensational media coverage.

Her toddler daughter was reported missing on July 15, 2008, after Casey’s mother, Cindy, called 911 and said she hadn’t seen her granddaughter in about a month. She also told the police about Casey’s car having a foul odor, like it had a dead body inside.
Initially, Casey said her daughter was with a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez, or “Zanny,” but investigators eventually found that her story was a lie.
It was only in December 2008 when Caylee’s skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the family’s home.
Casey Anthony was charged with first-degree murder in October 2008 in addition to other charges, like child neglect and providing false information to law enforcement officers.
As Casey’s trial subsequently unfolded, the country was glued to their TV screens in the widely covered case.
On one hand, prosecutors said the mother murdered Caylee by using chloroform and then suffocating the toddler with duct tape on her nose and mouth.
Prosecutors also questioned Casey’s behavior during the trial, saying Caylee was last seen around mid-June, but a couple of weeks later, Casey was seen bar-hopping and getting a tattoo at a time when the toddler may have already gone missing.
On the other hand, the lawyers defending Casey built another narrative of the child accidentally drowning in the family’s pool.

What followed was one of the most controversial verdicts in American legal history. The jury found Casey not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child, but she was found guilty of four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer.
Casey’s acquittal was met with public outrage and disbelief, but the mother has claimed in the past that she doesn’t care what people think.
“I don’t give a sh– about what anyone thinks about me. I never will,” she was quoted telling AP News in a 2017 interview.
Casey put the blame on the media for the “monster mom” image that was attached to her name.
“The queen is proclaiming: ‘No, no, sentence first, verdict afterward,’” Casey was quoted saying.
“I sense and feel to this day that is a direct parallel to what I lived. My sentence was doled out long before there was a verdict. Sentence first, verdict afterward. People found me guilty long before I had my day in court,” she continued.
In the interview, she said she didn’t know exactly what happened to her daughter and said Caylee was with George before she woke up to find her daughter missing.
“I don’t remember too much of what happened. Again, there were several psychological evaluations. Even after everything transpired, even months, even within a year, I don’t have personal knowledge of these things because, and this isn’t my belief, I read the evaluations. I wasn’t present during whatever happened. If I was, something would’ve showed up. There would be some recollection; there would be some memory,” she said.

“I was living at home with my parents. What I remember is every day we had a routine, and whether it was the day I was working or not working, Caylee and I got up and had breakfast, we said goodbye to my mom, between 7 and 7:30,” she continued.
When asked about how the situation went wrong, Casey went on to say, “What I remember is being in bed and my mom coming in before she left for work and saying goodbye to us. And then waking up several hours later not knowing where she was.”
Casey suggested that her father was the culprit behind her daughter’s murder during the interview with AP News. George was also accused of sexual abuse during the trial.
Today, more than a decade after her acquittal, reports say that Casey wants to become a reality TV star. A proposal for the new TV show is also currently being circulated among multiple TV networks.
If the show gets a thumbs up, Casey will not only star in it but also act as the executive producer, working with the production company on creating the show.
“Members of Casey’s trusted inner circle, many of whom have never spoken out before,” are also expected to be seen alongside her on screen.
Casey shared her side of the story in a series called Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies in 2022
One network executive, who saw the proposal for the new TV show, questioned whether there was really anything interesting about Casey’s life in Florida that would keep the audience engaged.
“I think that’s a losing bet,” the network exec told the New York Post. “It would get a large audience initially, but what’s really that interesting about her life? Plus, the backlash would be huge. Not worth it.”
While their network will be giving the TV show a pass, the network executive said they would still like to watch the show if another network picks it up.
“I hope someone else has the balls to buy it. Because I definitely want to watch,” the network executive said.
Meanwhile, Casey’s parents recently appeared in their own show, ‘Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test,’ which premiered in January this year. George and Cindy were captured taking a lie detector test and dispelling some of the rumors that Casey said about them following Caylee’s disappearance.
Casey also revealed her side of the story in a Peacock’s docu-series called ‘Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies’ released in 2020.
Several people were outraged at the idea of Casey wanting to have a TV show of her own
Stop making stupid people famous. Stop with this tabloid garbage. Stop scraping the bottom of the barrel for content.
If people keep reading and commenting on it, it makes BP money from the ad views, so they’ll just keep posting stuff like this. Best way to show them you don’t appreciate or want this kind of content is to not read or comment on it.
Load More Replies...I will avoid this like the plague, I have no curiosity about anything to do with her or what's in her head. She is as interesting as an amoeba in a murky pond, that is it.
I have a slight curiosity but I'd rather a documentary involving actual facts than watch her live her best life...
