If I’d ask you to name a symbol of a man, James Bond would probably be among your top picks. Of recently, however, British TV presenter Piers Morgan has been saying that Secret Agent 007 was stripped of his masculinity. And one of the actors who was in the James Bond movies – Daniel Craig – is to blame.
The breakfast talk show host tweeted a picture of Craig carrying his 1-month-old daughter in a baby sling, saying “Oh 007.. not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond.”
Immediately, his James Bond actor shaming tweet infuriated the internet and delivered him the savage comebacks he deserved. “You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child,” Captain America’s Chris Evans replied. “Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside.”

Who the hell thinks that James Bond is a symbol of a man? While the books/ movies are entertaining to watch/ read, the character himself is not a positive example of masculinity and has a lot of flaws.

Every time I hear a man qualifying anything as "emasculating", I just have to laugh, because : HOW FRAGILE does your masculinity have to be if the tinyest little thing (such as a papoose) can litterally rip off your balls ?! This is why *I* see men who dgaf about this kind of nonsense as the most masculine and sexy of all : they can do whatever they want, wear whatever they want, and the simple concept of "losing their masculinity" doesn't even cross their mind, because they are men, they know it, and nothing can change that, they have nothing to prove, nothing to lose, being "emasculated" simply is impossible ! Carrying your child in a papoose is supposed to be emasculating?!? WTH?!? Taking care of your child is supposed to be something natural, no matter the sex of the parent and papooses are practical. Also: people really care too much how celebrities look like and what the do in their free time. It's not like he's hurting himself or anyone else here (quite the opposite actually); except for Piers Morgan (and similar people) apparently.

Dear Piers, I completely understand. I felt the same way when I learned that Tracy Lord from the Philadelphia Story was just an actor named Katharine Hepburn. Of course, I was 8 or 9 years old at the time. But I get it. It can be very disappointing when you find that the movie character you so admire (and love?) is just a normal human doing normal human stuff. You may find however, if anyone would ever debase themselves by having a baby with you, that children are only small for a short time and that parents want to keep them close as long as possible. A real man isn't afraid to show their love, especially for their child. Perhaps your comic books don't show that. Kisses ><

Piers Morgan is partly correct. James Bond would not be carrying a baby in a papoose. What JB would be carrying is maybe an AK-17 or a small bomb, which would then turn that papoose into tactical gear. So no, the papoose is not emasculating. It's all perspective ;)

This is sooo stupid. My nephews godfather proudly carried him around in a papoose and that man stands 6ft 6. I work in a grocery store and see men with their babies in a papoose, while grocery shopping and the last thing that would ever occur to me is to think less of them for wanting their child to be close.
