35 Canadian Memes That Are Making People Crack Up At The Country’s Stereotypes
Canada is truly a place of wonder. With its nature and kind-hearted people, among other things, there’s much to love about the country. However, as with any point on the globe, Canada is not exempt from being meme-ified. The main reason for this is the fact that Canada is globally subject to a wide variety of stereotypes, which range from wholesome to “very Canadian.”
Whilst the term “stereotype” can be associated with negativity, this list of memes celebrates the unique nature of Canadian culture and quirks. After all, the internet simply loves to have a laugh at Canada in the best of ways.
Here at Bored Panda, we have collected some popular memes about Canada. Scroll down to see them all, and if you enjoy this list, consider leaving a comment and upvoting the entries you like the most, eh?

How tall are you? I say I'm 5 foot 4 inches not 164cm although both are right. How far is it from me to bobs house is i would say 5km but i would not say 3 miles.
Load More Replies...Me, a canadian seeing water temperature 65. That's cold Me seeing 65 outside. Everybody's dead o.o
Load More Replies...UK here - I went through school at a time they were ditching imperial so I only learned metric. It never quite worked out, you kind of have to know both in the UK.
Likewise in Canada. Heat oven to 365f, but wear sunscreen at 27c
Load More Replies...Here's a Dad-joke: Next Thing, they're going to convert us to Metric Money! . . response is usually, Oh, Gosh, then Wait a minute....
We use both in the US too, by some surreal formula I can't decipher. Soda, for example, is sold in 12-ounce cans, but 1- and 2-liter bottles. Beer bottles and cans are measured in ounces, but wine and hard liquor are measured in milliliters. And cannabis is by the gram, until you get to 28 grams, whereupon it's an ounce. I really wish we'd switched back in the '70s.
i wanna use metric cuz the scaling is just so much more convenient but im trained in imperial and dont understand it w/o a reference qwq
Yeah we use both! It switched when I was in grade 5 so about 86/87. I'm 45 and cannot tell you what centimeters actually are. Sorry. Lol
10 mm = 1 cm, 100 cm = 1 m. So 1,000 millimeters = 1 meter and 100 centimeters equals 1 meter, and 1 meter = how far light travels in a vacuum in 1,299,792,458 seconds, which are, btw, not metric, nor arae minutes, hours, or days, but nobody complains about *that* being the convention in the US, so I give up. (FYI, yeah, you better believe I had to google that meter thing, LOL. I got curious!)
Load More Replies...Actually the US system differs from the Imperial system in volume measurements.
thank you! I have been wondering what we (america) use! yes i could use google.
US system isn't metric (except in the sciences) but it isn't exactly imperial, either. For example, when I moved to Canada in the pre-metric early 1960s, I was introduced to the imperial pint, quart, imperial Gallon. 20 oz, 40 oz and 4 imperial quarts, respectively. In the US, where I grew up, pints are 16 oz, quarts are 32 oz, and the gallon is 4 32 oz quarts. Big difference!
We went through the change when I was in training for a nurse though some we knew -being a dumb Canadian I just purchased a calculator that converted either way no mistakes wanted here! But I think IMPERIAL sounds more Canadian!
It's weird, we're supposed to use metric, but does anyone I know other even know how many centimeters equals a foot? Nope
I can only use metric in kilometers. Any smaller than that and I'm confused. And celsius

"I was actually targeting another victim" might not be the best argument at court.
My dad's family had children for tax purposes and to "help on the farm". They moved away from the farm.... but my dad had kids to help with the leaves.
But... She has too many...! Oh, wait, nevermind... That's just her child.
How do you keep it from curling? Take away their little tiny brooms.
My father passed this job off on me as soon as I was old enough to handle it on my own. Diesels from the 80s needed plugging-in even in Chicago.
If ice bikes are a thing, I wonder if moose saddles are as well 🤔
Me who freezes to death in slightly cold weather: yes yes tell me something I don’t know
My daughter is currently living in the UK - I bought her St Hubert poutine mix and tracked down a kg of curds for $70 for Christmas 😂
Load More Replies...They missed the Canadian Hat Trick; strip mall with Tim Hortons' Canadian Tire, & Petro-Can.
And unfortunately, right now, the whole freedom convoy that's morphing around to different countries. ......you actually can blame us (Canada) for once.
Well the majority of funding to keep the convoy alive comes from the USA... so... not sure who to blame.
Load More Replies...I love Canada but it still has huge issues with how it treats their Indigenous population.
just like USA, ZA, NZ, AUS, etc... any british colony.
Load More Replies...I love when non-Canadians comment on being Canadian and obviously haven't a clue what we're referencing 🤣🤣🤣 Definitely not long enough though!
Good Day, eh! I am surprised Bob and Doug McKenzie were not included in this list. I love each and everyone of these. Greetings from Alberta!
Adorable. I love Vancouver and Toronto. Would like to visit more parts of Canada.
This whole post speaks to my very soul as a very, very passionate Canadaphile.
I'm surprised Canada still has geese. I thought they migrated, but they headed south to NJ and decided to stay. Our high school soccer fields are loaded - and I do mean loaded - with poop. They hold up traffic on the roads. They've taken over our local lakes. At a town meeting someone said the best way to get rid of them is poison. A resound "NO!!!" rang through hall. So we now have the geese (population growing by the year) and the poop (growing by the year) and we've learned to live with it. Why aren't they going back to Canada? It's a nice place to live.

Load More Replies...Having a good time?!? It's an occupation. That convoy is massive joke, it's nothing but a tailgate party for our rednecks. They are disturbing thousands of local residents, hurting businesses, desecrated the tomb of the unknown soldier, littered like there's no tomorrow, picked fight's with people who were wearing masks and more.... Most people are "protesting" (and I use the term lightly) provincial regulations in front the the federal government.... And everyone has to be vaccinated to enter the USA, so even if our government changed their mind, the truckers still couldn't drive. What they are doing is pointless and they have to go home.
