If a computer screen is 8,000 by 11,000 pixels, and all pixels must be fully on or off, how many different combinations look like the letter A or the number 1? I will average all of the answers and use that to figure out the answer.

First we would need a more precise definition of things that "look like" the letter A or number 1.
You show a bunch o' people some pixels and ask if they look like the letter A or 1. You can also do lowercases. Then average the results.
There are no combinations, since the pixels will ALL be either fully on or off. The only possibility is a square.
