Tsaghveri is a climatic-balneological resort. Mineral waters are extracted. Tsaghveri small town, 20 km southeast of Borjomi, on the northern slope of Trialeti ridge,

It is located at the confluence of the rivers Gujaratistskali (Gujarula) and Bakuriani. The small town is surrounded by high mountains covered with coniferous forests (spruce, fir, pine). Marijani and Arjevanidze forests are distinguished from the forest massifs. The Marijan Forest was named in honor of the famous poetess, Mariam Tkemaladze (Marijan was her pseudonym) – she had a country house in Tsaghveri, which was visited by famous Georgian cultural figures; Arjevanidze Forest is named after the public figure who founded the first school in Tsaghveri in 1910. Like the other villages of the community, Daba, Timotesubani and Mzetamze Tsaghveri have the status of a climatic resort. Its natural healing factors are the transitional climate between the lowlands and the high mountain climate, the moderately moist fresh air permeated with the scent of conifers, and the healing waters rich in various minerals. Tsaghveri is a children’s resort, but it is also useful for those who can not get used to the high mountain climate due to their general health.

The so-called Eiffel Bridge, built on the Borjomi-Bakuriani narrow-gauge railway, leaves an amazing impression on the visitor. It was commissioned in France by Mikhail Romanov, the French engineer-designer and builder of bridges, the author of the famous “Eiffel Tower” in Paris, Alexander Gustave Eiffel. Construction of the bridge began in 1897 on the river Tsemistskali. The bridge was installed on the spot by the designer Besarion Keburia. From January 1902, the first “Kukushka” train passed through the Borjomi-Bakuriani narrow-gauge railway. “Kukushka” still serves skiing lovers and tourists.

The bridge is still popularly called the Eiffel Bridge.

Although our bridge is not as popular as the Eiffel Tower, they are both designed by the same person.
