We already featured the work of Kosovan makeup artist Arber Bytygi, who makes such incredible transformations for brides-to-be that the groom might think he showed up at the wrong wedding!
While some might prefer a subtle, natural look on their big day, Arber specializes in glamorous, dramatic makeup, turning women into the Kardashian version of beauty – all smoky eyes, bold brows and painted lips.

Having amassed over 300k followers on Instagram, it’s fair to say that Arber’s makeup looks have proven to be popular and inspiring for many future brides. It all depends on the beautiful bride’s preference – if she prefers a more natural look, Arber can do that too!

âI got interested in professional makeup when I was just a child,â Arber said in an earlier interview with Bored Panda. âThe first drawings that I did were of eyes, girls or dresses. I used to take my momâs makeup and play with it when I was only five years old, so I knew that Iâll become a makeup artist pretty early.â

âWhen I meet my client, the first question I ask is what kind of occasion are they getting their makeup done for. I also ask my clients if they have any specific requests. For example, if they want a natural or dramatic look. Then I ask them [to show me] the dress that they are going to wear. The design of the dress and its details reveal the style of the look the client is going for. Then, I analyze their facial features.â

Share on FacebookOh dear. It's surely art to paint a face like that but those women look unrecognizable. A bride should look like her best self not like a doll. It's probably a matter of personal taste but I don't fancy that makeup style at all.
'look like her best self' - that's really nicely put.
Load More Replies...FFS women, you're all beautiful as you are. Seriously, all the left picture is nicer to look than the over the top mask you put on yourself on the right. Yes, I'm a man. I strongly against makeup but I get it. A little makeup can boost someone confidence and it's oke, but this is simply ridiculous. You turn yourself into a completely different person. Please stop this clown act and be yourself and I can't point it out enough. You're all beautiful women!
Aww you are super sweet. That was a very nice thing to say, thank you :).
Load More Replies...For me personally most of it is way too much, the shine is unnatural, makeup of a Barbie doll, and I really dislike the mile long lashes and huge lips in superdark matte color. The women are beautiful and the difference is remarkable, but for me, other styles of makeup would make them even more beautiful.
Less is more when it comes to make up, they all look like Bratz dolls....or Kardashians, either one
I thought more "East Indian" looking......the foundation didn't match the actual skin tone.
Load More Replies...I understand that people want to look their best on their wedding day but there is such thing as too much. The makeup is on so thick that the women aren’t even recognisable. One women has even gone from Caucasian to looking biracial. Less is more.
"One women has even gone from Caucasian to looking biracial" Glad I'm not the only one who thought that ;)
Load More Replies..."(New pics)" with wayyyy too much makeup. I still think the makeup itself is well done but completely inappropriate for a wedding.
It looks like the makeup you would do for theater. I've been a makeup artist for 30 years and we don't even do makeup this heavy for film or television. I like to still see skin. Unless they have acne or rosacea, no one needs a full face like that. These women are all beautiful
Load More Replies...I agree, makeup is great to outline your best features and hide some flaws, but this just looks like total overkill. After makeup they all look more or less the same.
Seems like the artist is painting a picture of a face on their faces
Load More Replies...I do hope their husbands to be actually recognised them. How sad it is that they need to look completely different to feel happy with themselves. Make up is supposed to enhance beauty that is already there in everyone, not make you look like someone else entirely. That's just sad.
You would wonder who was walking down the aisle towards you and what she had done with your fiancé
I don't think any of these are an improvement, certainly not for a wedding. Plus you are going to hugging and kissing people all day long; all that make-up isn't going to last. Way over the top.
These are awful. These women all look like beautiful human beings in the “before” photos, but they look like homogenized creepy dolls in the “after” photos. People, stop promoting this s**t as glamour, or “normal”, or as a look to be sought. This is not something to aim for; this is the uncanny valley! BE YOURSELF!
Each and every one of these ladies look WAY way worse with this plastic-looking s#it called make up than without anything on their faces. Creator of these... things.. shouldn't be allowed to call themselves an artist- artists are actually making things prettier / better, not worse.
The groom will think he turned up at the wrong wedding XD I would not want my husband to be looking like anyone other than himself.
They all look much nicer, natural. Some have even gone from pretty and sweet to looking like they're cruel and spiteful. Each to their own, but I really dont think they need even a 10th of it.
What's the point of looking NOTHING like yourself on your wedding day?
Terrible. They all look the same. The makeup artist does not care about their facial structures and individual features, but repeats the same pattern over and over again.
I wonder what it would be like, if the men were made up like this as well? It's sad to see that women have to change this much to feel beautiful.
A little too heavy of makeup for a wedding day for my taste. Some are great but others look like they're going to the club instead of down the aisle
He gives them all the exact same face, regardless of what they actually look like, and none of them look like themselves. Why would you want photos of your wedding if you look like a stranger in them?
I am looking forward to the end of this "barbie doll" make up trend.
No no no. My partner would want me as me for a bride and not with my face an inch deep in makeup. Not nice at all. Half the photos look photo shopped anyway.
There's a fair bit of photoshoppery going on too - some of those teeth are fluorescent!
I know most ladies want to look their best on their wedding day, but most of these makeovers are way over the top. They don't even look like themselves, and the makeup completely masks their natural attributes. Is it the same makeup artist?
I wish the brides all the best and really hope they felt amazing on their wedding days, but I found it hard to estimate what was actual makeup and what was photoshop. The artist surely has a lot of skill, but some pictures are shopped so much (e.g. if you look at the natural folds under the eyes, those that bulge if you smile and that can be seen on the left, they are always completely gone in the right pic and no amount of makeup can achieve this). Would really have appreciated normal pictures here.
Pretty sure it was Shakespeare who wrote, "God gives you one face and you make yourselves another". These women look so unnaturally dissimilar to the real person, it's kinda creepy. Beautiful, but desperately fake.
Makeup should be used to enhance your natural features, not to paint a different face on.
I love this! Better than therapy or anything else, it should prove to people with body image issues that none of what the media shows them is real. We are all just normal people.
Don’t love this. This is part of the pressure to look a certain way. This is exactly what’s wrong with culture around women’s appearances.
Load More Replies...After all weddings should have nothing to do with love and commitment, Image is everything.
when i see people wear this much makeup, i remember seeing that Simpsons episode where Homer loaded a shotgun with makeup and shot Marge in the face with it.
Some of the make-ups are nice..but most of them are too much. It's like they put the make up on like spackle.
These are beautiful brides, but I predict a lot of disappointed groom's the next morning. Most of all, I don't like the glaring lipstick. If the first thing people notice is your lips, you're doing it wrong.
"I analyze their facial features... and then make them look like Kardashian-inspired Bratz dolls." Ugh. If I were marrying any of these lovely ladies I'd spend a few minutes very upset that someone swapped a Kardashian for my chosen bride.
Do these ladies need an orbital sander to get all this makeup off??? Holy c**p, some of them even had their neck and chest done... I imagine they all look like a Salvador Dali painting if the temperature is too hot...
These bridges will be unrecognizable in their own wedding photos when reality sets in after a few weeks. In a few years, it will look like the grooms married someone else entirely. These women will be strangers in their own pictures.
I've worn stage makeup that was nowhere near as heavy as this. But if this style is what these ladies wanted, well. At least it comes off.
The right is pretty but these women are so beautiful. Why are they covering it up with all this makeup? Save the crazy makeup for instagram.
Sorry. I meant unrecognizable makeup. NOT crazy
Load More Replies...They all never have...or will again, look like this . This is not who your husband fell in love with . He loved you with all your flaws and your big heart.
Cool post. It gives male commenters an opportunity to weigh in on how brides should look on their wedding days PLUS it gives them cover to called the women brainwashed fools if their wedding-day effort was insufficiently pleasing to Internet randos. Nice, low-key incel post, and if any woman objects to the peanut gallery’s judgment, she’s a b***h who doesn’t appreciate well-meant beauty advice, amirite?
I do support natural beauty and i think natural beauty is the best kind of beauty but if you like getting your makeup done this way, I will support you!!!! If this is how you feel your best, then don't care what anyone thinks. These transformations are amazing!!! Well done! It takes a lot of talent, hard work, and dedication to get THAT GOOD at makeup!!!!
I do think natural beauty is the best type of beauty but if you are into these gorgeous transformations than I'm all in!!!! These are stunning!!!!!
It may look OTT when seen like this, these pics were taken indoors just after application. For professional photographs that are taken outside in sunlight or with artificial lighting & reflectors, much heavier makeup is needed otherwise the Bride will look washed out, pale & featureless especially in a shiny white dress that reflects light like a mirror. These women are all Beautiful but no bride wants her Magic day photos Marred by, pimples, dark under eye circles, blotchy skin, uneven skin tone, scars, freckles & blemishes. Brides need to not only “Feel” like their best self on their big day they need to believe they “Look” like their best self so if that means Going Red Carpet Glamour so be it, All brides want to look Fairy Princess Beautiful on their big day.
Some were a little too much, almost had a drag queen vibe to them. Such heavy base makes them look a little plastic. And the two inch eyelashes were too much. The makeup was good for what it was, it was just too transformative and heavy. You should be able to recognize the person at least.
It's as if they all put on clown masks. They all could have gone with just half the makeup. Far too much. YUCK!
I bet the new husband was shocked to see wot he woke up to .....2 totally different people in each photo
I don't necessarily dislike any of the photo, I mean the makeup skills are impressive and the ladies are beautiful. I'm just uncomfortable with how different they look. They don't look like their best self, but different persons.
Ok but these photographs are obviously also at least filtered? Every woman has a different skin tone in the ‘after’ picture and not just on their face but chest arms etc. It’s a bit misleading to say this is all pure makeup
No. No! I definitely don't want my kids to ask me one day "mommy, who's this strange lady with daddy on the weding photos?"
All of them are really beautiful women with bare faces. After the makeup is freak show
Hey guys I think many people don't like this amount of makeup, but remember it's their choice, their face, and their wedding. Even though I personally wouldn't wear this amount, if the makeup makes you feel good about yourself, or raises your self esteem, then I say go for it. You may get to choose what you think about it, but you don't get to choose what makes them happy, so if someone wants to use an amount of makeup, then we should support them, because they are doing what makes them feel good and happy. (Sorry, hope that didn't come off as rude, I didn't mean for it to be)
Despite the artists obvious skills, if she would be selling cars, she'd definitely be in jail up until now.
Too much. Sorry. They are all lovely w/o all that c**p on their faces. Making the whole effect look like D/Q. This is very cool for the D/Q but not for here. I'm finding that I've been looking at it all wrong with cosmetics these days. Putting that much on just gives it a clown-like appearance. That's what I see. It's just too much. Again all ladies are lovely w/o it. xoxo
these women were all beautiful before the makeup. if you take another look, you will see the they purposely took pictures from an unflattering angle to make the transformation more shocking.
the eyes are way to exaggerated and the foundation is changing skin altogether! they are getting married because someone thinks they are beautiful and nice! please don't change the way you look
I feel this is awful for women to do. Agree with Janine B. Why! It is not who they are. Are those "after" pics for their wedding album? To send to friends, or to post? Truly sad. So sad. Yes, some makeup to enhance, not to make a completely fake person. My heart aches for them to think they need this.
The artistry and talent is formidable but the women look like fake hollow-eyed anime characters anime-girl...99309b.jpg
Boredhuman, thanks for your comments, it's perfect to have a mans point of view, I would like to hear from the grooms, if they loved the new look would they ask the ,women to look like this permanently, it seems some men like the glam look, I do agree with you,and why would a woman want to look extremely different, what about the wedding photos, many may have regrets, too late, some makeup is fine, look like yourself !!!
Isn't it weird for the husbands-to-be? They look like totally different women. I'm a married woman, and I wouldn't dream of having this much makeup, I want people to know it's me! To wear makeup is fine, but there are just so many layers.
I love the transformations. Sometimes your best self is still dull and boring. Having their makeup and hair done, would have made them feel fantastic and full of confidence. A special day, that will be one to remember, for all the guests as well. No one remembers dull and boring. I think they are fantastic.
2nd woman, in the b4 she wearing turquoise top and sporting an ave size, but bulbous nose. After? How did just fake-up slim down her nose that much? Overkill on the brows, too.
Really?? So many of the noses looked like they got a photoshpt shaping job. Brows on many looked real "drawn" on airbrush photo.
How did make up change the size and shape of most of the noses. THAT wasn't make-up. And the ones with the bad skin look like they are wearing skin coloured concrete on their faces.
I can only imagine the look of joy & horror as the Groom sees his Bride for the 1st time. His expectatiins will become deflated as soon as he realizes that THIS is not what he's gonna wake up to the rest of his life. Unless you are already a heavy make-up wearer, as I was, I would advise against this unrealistic makeover. As a Make-up Artist myself, for over 40+ yrs now, I can appreciate the talent & sheer artistry though.
Heard about a guy who sued the family of the bride for presenting him a woman on his wedding day that didn't represent the woman he woke up with! Kind of reminds me of this. These girls do not look anything like themselves at all, and it's disappointing to know that as a bride they should be presenting their honest selves. I have done make up for brides before, and never used this amount of camoflauge......I made the ladies look like themselves only enhanced. My hubby has a wonderful saying....."A woman is like a cake. The cake on it's own is very appetizing, and the icing only enhances the cake. Too much icing ruins the cake."
I analyze their facial features... and then make them look like Bratz dolls.
I also noticed that Bride #3, in the right picture, is wearing what appears to be a bikini top-sryle wedding dress. (::shudder::)
These women have been turned into grotesque caricatures. Many are unrecognizable after their makeup jobs, which have turned what once were women into bimbos, faux-Kardashians and Barbies. No woman should be insulted like this.
I'm beginning to understand heterosexual marriage rituals. Many o the women want to be a glorious drag queen: overdressed and over-processed.
Can't ANYONE take a picture anymore without photoshopping the end result into a digital cartoon?!?!?!?! I would have loved to see the true results without all the digital manipulation. :( :(
Giving me drag makeup, nothing wrong with that but for your wedding?!
There's a huge similarity to all of the faces after the make up session. The eyes, the lips, the brows, even the cheeks. Some of these women are gorgeous without all that makeup and just need a little touch up
This make up is aweful, women lose thete identity. This is notvan art at all. Looks like an advertising article.
I guess if it's her dream and I can understand those with acne, but these feel overdone. These women are going to be beautiful with no make up or light makeup...
I don’t even want to think of their kids reactions when they look at Mom (!?!) and Dad’s wedding album. That ultra glamorous getup is ridiculous but....... to each his own.
I thought they all looked very artificial, and nothing like themselves. Almost like plastic.
Makeup can't make your nose smaller and you bust bigger. This isn't makeup, this is Photoshop.
They all look like plastic dolls, I wouldn't marry any of them... I would totally run away if my beautiful girl showed up like this. Girls, please stay natural. You are beautiful the way you are!
This is also photoshopped, notice the lack of definition on the necks, as if their skin has been blurred, this is a common photoshop technique to make skin look more pristine. He's done it on the face too. If you have to photoshop your pics to make your makeup look its best, are you really that good at makeup? I can't wait for this cake face makeup trend to just die, it looks awful and is so far removed from reality. I don't begrudge the people that enjoy looking that way as an art form, but what bothers me is these women think they need to hide their natural features on their *wedding day* to a person who loves the person they see in the left hand pic, and yet these women feel like they need to look like someone else to feel beautiful? It's sad and untrue.
This is a bit too much. It doesn't really show the brides' true selves.
If these weren't photoshopped I'd be more impressed...I've never heard of a make up artist that can transform cheekbones, foreheads, hairlines, collarbones and move moles about!
Beautiful after women. Unrecognizable to the before picture. All that thick, heavy glob on your face. Don't smear your makeup which would be very difficult not to do on your day hugging and kissing your guests.
After make-up, the women don't look like *individuals*. That's heart-breaking to me.
Before their wedding or before a porn shoot? These are terrible - like the worst of the 80s, 90s and 00s combined. I pity the poor husband that has to look into the face of a complete, plastic looking stranger and having to say 'Yes, I do'.
No. Just no. Makeup should enhance your natural beauty, not transform you into an entirely different person. When asked on my wedding day how I wanted to look, I told the makeup artist: "Like myself."
Why wouldn't you want to look like you on your wedding day??!! Yes, beautifully applied makeup but this is .... WOW!
I think if that's the look these ladies were going for then they did a great job.
The ones with the crystals on the eyelid make my face itch just looking at them...
So much eye makeup on they’d have to tip their heads back to get their eyes open!
Some of these are photoshopped. Not the same nose or the same mouth, I don't care how much make up you put on someone. It not the same
Yeah, I'm pretty sure a lot of those are photoshopped. Specially the 2nd one, her nose is not the same at all. That's so stupid
Most are amazing transformations, and I love this make-up style BUT they are not suitable looks for a bride. These are wedding guests, racegoer or night out looks, and truly gorgeous. But brides should look more natural, IMO.
They look like completely different people. Does anyone else think it seems a bit drag queeny? Only because of the massive amount of make up used on each person.
They are all very beautiful women, but the makeup is too much. It should enhance not erase their natural features!
Definitely not just makeup, there's a little photoshop in there ...
Surely their soon to be husband's have actually MET them before, so seeing a woman who looks completely different walk down the isle would be somewhat unnerving I imagine. I'm marrying you, not some magazine cover with 4 pounds of cake makeup. How can they expect their husband to love them, if they clearly don't love themselves?
How long does that much make up last? Does it start to slide down your face? Or mush all together?
I’m sorry, but they all look like plastic blow up dolls. Sad that these women are not confident enough to let their real selves shine through. After their future husbands fell in love with them not Barbies.
Don't like any of the pics after. They look way better Before! All exact same eyebrows, reshaping lips and thinning the nose for every single makeup pic, not to mention exact same eyeliner etc. They don't look like themselves afterward, some have completely different skin tones because of how much makeup is plastered on the faces and neck. Women should be proud of their natural faces, too! They are all beautiful without the makeup.
These women are beautiful without makeup. A bit of foundation, mascara, eye shadow and lipstick would suffice. Why would they want to look like fake dolls? (And it's not just all the spackle - the images are heavily airbrushed.)
so, the LEFT one is the "AFTER".... yes? (soooo much better / more natural / prettier / aspirational / what men truly want) <3
On my wedding day I would have never agreed to have my stylist make me look like a Barbie doll. Yes, these women are all beautiful, but you can hardly recognize them! At least leave a little bit of their natural beauty in there instead of making them look like a drag queen.
my fiance said they look CGI'ed. Regardless I think it's too much, I agree with the previous statements, be your best you! Everyday, but extra for your wedding day
All of the "after" pictures are hideous. A little makeup can be attractive, but all of them are W-A-A-A-A-AY overdone.
When you can see they're wearing making it means that they're using too much makeup...
I will never understand using so much makeup like this. Some of these women had adorable dimples, gorgeous check bones, beautiful, unique eye color.... the makeup and bright lighting seemed to flatten everything out into one monochrome doll look.
No wonder there are so many divorces. Eventually the husnad sees what she really looks like :P But on serious note - how can you put so much pain on your face? :/
I am sorry, but 90% of those look horrible with all that layers on them :I. I am not saying they must keep completely natural look but this is just too much and the color of their face does not match with the rest of the body at all, it looks kind of scary. If I was the groom I would turn around and run :')
Unless this makeup artist is slathering foundation all the way down these women's décolleté, there is more than just makeup involved here - meaning there is some use of Photoshop smoothing filters. Regardless, this makeup is way OTT even on camera, and would look clownish in person - plus it would rub off on anyone who got near the bride. Nope.
Lesson: Take your girl to the pool, lake or beach before tying the knot.
Sooo Kardashian beauty = make everyone look like a drag queen. Got it
Very Strong Make-Up... I mean the brides look beautiful but they somehow all like very, very alike and if that is how bold the make-up looks in a photograph the actual look, would be super heavy and dark... kinda like Drag Queen Glamour make-up! Even RuPaul might say to tone it down... they look more like they are going to do a Playboy/Stripper shoot rather than Marry
This isn't just makeup, most of them are photo-shopped. The noses and chins change shape. Blemishes aren't just covered, they are removed - you can't even see the texture of them. Freckles on arms and chests are gone. I get dressing up for an important day, but most of these erase the women they are.
You can do that with contour, and I guess you don't wear make up because there are foundations that cover everything.
Load More Replies...The eyebrows are mostly way too thick, I'm really not into this temporary fad.
I wore makeup for the first time in years for my wedding and then it was only a little eyeliner and color for the pictures. My husband says he loves how I look not how I make myself look. To me that is how it should be- love each other including whatever "flaws" each of you have. To begin a marriage having to hide the real you is not a good start.
All there lips changed shape. How do you go from small pout to big thick lips? One has a nice small and dainty lips and go changed to big think ones.
It's called overlining your lips. Lots of people do it. Mariah Carey and Celine Dion are some who do. If you look closely at their album pictures you can see the overline. You outline your lips with a dark color and fill in with a lighter color. Most people don't see it unless you're really up in the person's face.
Load More Replies...But how come they look ugly AFTER the makeup? They are much more beautiful without all these.. paints on their faces...
They look beautiful and the artistry is apparent. I do feel they have too much makeup on especially for a wedding. I think maybe more appropriate for glamour type shots.
Goodness... They all look so fake. Like they got their faces changed by surgery. Well, altough great "artwork" by the makeup artist
Literally all of them look better in their before pictures. And as for that blonde girl in the red dress, the makeup made her look like a freaking alien. :/
Completely redrawn. Surely the poor men marrying these girls are wondering if the right person is stood beside them?? It doesn't highlight any of their natural beauty at all. Very poor wedding makeup imho.
That;s pretty for one day,I guess. But thankfully the husbands will wake up with the girls on the left.
Most women wear far too much make-up. I prefer the natural look myself.
Same here. It’s not about our tastes though. It’s about the fact that women are being pressured to not look like themselves, and that’s horrible.
Load More Replies...This is amazing... Wonderful work, it's art it's art. And every women looks like they are Immensely happy. Every woman deserves to look and feel like they want to on their special day, so kudos for you for doing that for these women wonderful. And let's face it not every women knows how to do make up. I'd love to have you do my face!! And yes I know I am beautiful. Every now and then you want to look fierce and this makeup is FIERCE with a capital F. So all of you tacitly shaming women for liking make up like this STFU. It's not about you. I LOVE YOUR WORK!!
Excellent jobs, a cheaper alternative; https://www.google.ch/search?rlz=1C1GGRV_enCH805CH805&q=full+head+masks&tbm=isch&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi6waX0mvXjAhUEtnEKHf6gCQEQsAR6BAgJEAE&biw=1380&bih=1343
...And this is why a Pool or Beach party is a MUST to get to know your girlfriend.
Oh dear. It's surely art to paint a face like that but those women look unrecognizable. A bride should look like her best self not like a doll. It's probably a matter of personal taste but I don't fancy that makeup style at all.
