Many brides spend a lot of time coming up with their look for the big day. But when they find their wedding dress, experience that Cinderella moment with the perfect shoes, and spend hours scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest looking for just the right hairstyle, and tick almost every aspect of their bridal ensemble to-do list, all there's left to do is find a makeup artist that pulls it all together.
Makeup artist and beauty influencer Arber Bytyqi is one of those people. We already covered his work in an earlier article, but Arber has been keeping himself really busy, and continued sharing before-and-after pictures of his clients, so we decided to do an update on what he's up to.

For this one you can say "job well done", I think. Even, I must say, that young lady looks good even without makeup
Since our previous piece, Arber's Instagram follower army has grown by over 100,000. "When I meet my client, the first question I ask is what kind of occasion are they getting their makeup done for. I also ask my clients if they have any specific requests. For example, if they want a natural or dramatic look. Then I ask them [to show me] the dress that they are going to wear. The design of the dress and its details reveal the style of the look the client is going for. Then, I analyze their facial features," the makeup artist told Bored Panda.
Not such a big difference. This bride is looking very good, both with and without makeup
Arber wanted to become a makeup artist pretty early in life but when he finished high school, his family opposed this idea. "In our culture, a male in the beauty industry is considered taboo," he explained. "So, at first, I got a master’s degree in economics, and only then did I follow my dream and started working as a makeup artist."
Now, he and his team usually serve more than one thousand brides in a year. "The summer, in particular, is a very demanding season for wedding makeup. During this period, we serve as many as 60 or more clients daily."
That's a lot. But Arber's team consists of 25 people (15 makeup artists and 10 hair stylists). "I have trained these people myself. Some of them ar working part-time and some are full-time employees. We can attend up to 100 clients per day. We start our workdays early in the morning and make sure our schedule has absolutely no impact on the quality of services, satisfying all of their needs."
Of course, the coronavirus has had its toll on these numbers. "In the Balkans, the wedding is one of the biggest events in a person's life. But due to the pandemic, a lot of them were postponed," Arber said.
If I'd known this girl without make up, I wouldn't be able to recognize her when she has this full make-up face on
i feel like these people purposefully take bad pictures of themselves to make the result seem even better
everything can be done with makeup how-5fd4ef...04a8e7.jpg
Load More Replies...I'm sure that beautiful face don't need so much makeup, or photoshop... She is naturally very beautiful
Kim Karkrash is responsible for this trend of porno make - up. This woman doesn't look anything like herself. Nothing wrong with getting made up for a wedding but turned into someone else?
Much better without makeup. And by the way ALL look absolutely like plastic after makeup. Who would marry a plastic mannequin?
again, how can contouring and good lighting make her nose a totally different shape at the end?????
Even the face shape is different. All of these instagram models nowadays think they have to fit this mold to be pretty, so they will use photoshop or completely hide their real, vibrant personality because in their minds, that personality doesn't fit the mold.
This MUA only knows how to do one look. Copy. Paste. And the amount of make-up plastered on their faces is unbelievable: might look good on pictures, but I wonder if it's the same in real life?
A prime example of a disturbing trend where people are not supposed to look like themselves anymore. Of course you want to look your best on your wedding and obviously you might go a bit further then when you would go to the supermarket but apart from personal tastes, most of these ladies do not look like themselves anymore. I find the fact that that seems to be desirable for many people, very disturbing.
Yeah, I totally get wanting to look great on your wedding day but this is just weird. Would they even recognize themselves on the pictures later on? And does this make up “artist” only know one style or something, they all look the same too...
Load More Replies...I did not upvote any of the pics, even though I skimmed them all. I for one cannot appreciate this level of extreme makeover (especially the nose contouring???). The women do not look at all like their original selves. I understand wanting to look your best on your 'big day' but to completely transform into someone else is too much, really. I do not find the homogenised result beautiful or attractive...
Holy Photoshop, Batman! It looks like the "make-up artist" (I'm going to use that term very lightly here) smothered their faces with foundation and then had a field day with the "Face-tune" and "Gaussian Blur" in a digital editing program. This is just sad-- they don't even look human after their supposed "make-overs." They look like poreless, plastic Androids. It's a shame, because they were so much more beautiful before.
You can tell some tweaking was done to the photo just by looking at their shoulders and clavicle areas. The skin tones are all too similar and look spray-painted on, and even the hair color changed in a couple of these!
Load More Replies...I like the before pictures more, maybe because I prefer the natural look. I especially dislike the puffed up lips :(
It's sad that society pushes natural skin (darker under eyes, inconsistent skin tone) on women as something bad. Being constantly bombarded with images of women looking like dolls just reinforces the opinion that women without makeup look tired or sick or unattractive, it alters perspective on what we should look like
These women are getting married and they don't look like themselves at all.
Personally, I don't like the "doll" features look. I think the "au naturale" look is better. Sure, a little makeup is perfectly understandable. If it makes you feel good, wear it. But please, except your natural beauty. You are beautiful on your own. Except yourself for who you are.
These woman are caked with clown makeup and highly photoshopped. They look ridiculous. I suppose this is an advertisement for the makeup “artist” but it looks like a bad joke.
So, what was the purpose of this post? To show people what not to do on faces?
This is all glamour make up, not bridal make up! You should look like yourself on your wedding day, with subtle make up to enhance your natural beauty. Not like a totally different woman or a plastic doll.
Brides looks better little make up without heavy and fake make up. Look old age.
What’s the point if you can’t even recognize your wife when she walks down the aisle? Or if you have kids and grandkids and the picture they have of you is from when you looked like a completely different person? I think at least wedding makeup should be to accentuate natural features, not give them new faces, right? It would be different if they did it themselves, because it’s their own face and they can do whatever they want, but if you’re doing your own make up you control it, so I wonder if many of them actually wanted this?
I think they all are beautyful In the before pics, even if he probably done his best to make them ugly. They look creepy in after pics.
Looks like Kim who is responding to most of everyone's comments is taking this WAY TOO PERSONNALY...…. I personally thought many of them looked better in the before. I don't get the large lips. It seems that everything; from the make-up, earrings, hair and headpiece are so exaggerated. Now if this is what the ladies are going for, well done.
I think the accessories are lovely, personally, but that aside, I agree. If you don't want people criticizing something, don't post it on the internet, and don't be surprised when not everyone shares your opinion. Also, criticism is not the same as shame or hate--people who dislike these looks are just as entitled to their opinions as those who do.
Load More Replies...Makeup should enhance your natural beauty, not be used to change your appearance into someone else entirely. I'd hate to wake up everyday to a photo of myself as a bride who looks nothing like me.
I am disappointed in you Bored Panda, you are better than this. Does Arber Bytyqi have connections with someone affiliated with Bored Panda? Or is this paid advertising? And obvious statement, they looked edited, photoshopped. Usually the images on this site are inspiring
NONE of these women keep the natural shape of their lips! Why make them so much bigger?!?
My stepmother has very thin lips. Every time she gets her makeup done, the makeup artist will try to draw larger lips. My stepmother says nope, I like my mouth just the way it is. The idea that only one kind of lip is beautiful is silly.
Load More Replies...Maybe "Kim" is the make-up artist, lol. She's screeching on nearly every comment "tHaT's yOuR oPiNiOn!" Yes, "Kim," it is. Welcome to the comments section. And the real world.
Load More Replies...This makes it look like someone else's pictures on the wedding day. And I'm sure hubby at some point will throw the awful statement in her face sometime into the marriage: "Why don't you look like that all the time?"
Makeup should enhance not change how a person looks. Will the groom recognize his bride? And what happens after the wedding day? I would be more interested in seeing less make overs.
It's sad because those women will never look like that again (unless it's their job). Anyone looking at the wedding pictures is going to be like, "Who is she?" including any kids they have.
If most of these are real, the husbands are in for one heck of a shock at the honeymoon hotel!
As a lesbian...why..? They aesthetically look way better without that uncanny valley makeup. Why would you ruin that by dunking these DREAMBOATS into that uncanny valley?!
I wear makeup, I love makeup but I'd feel like a total fraud going out in public with a heavily contoured face. Definitely wouldn't want to look like a completely different person on my wedding day!
@Kim - Yeah, I never assume everyone thinks like me. Definitely never implied anyone should. Seems like it's you who can't grasp that people are allowed different opinions.
Load More Replies...These women were beautiful to begin with. The make up “artist“ used to too much make up and too much photoshop to be believable. Seriously most of these women look so fake. A much more subtle look would have been so much better.
Maybe they didn’t want a more subtle look. Maybe they wanted exactly that and that’s what makes them happy.
Load More Replies...No, just no! Instead of enhancing their individual looks, they all end up looking like a completely different person. It's downright disconcerting!
Sure you could use some makeup, but like, don’t ever change yourself to the social media influencers. 😔
They were stunning before. Artist should have worked on enhancing natural features and not transforming them into completely different person!
Sadly women from reality TV do this all the time, it's not a good trend to change your entire face using extreme make up.
But these people don't even look like themselves with makeup it's like a mask. It's weird.
all kinds of young women end up with pretty much the same face. Remind me of the entire history of women and fashion....some man's idea of the perfect face, body, (corsets!, anorexic, huge boobs, tiny feet...) hair, etc. I think we are starting to get over this. Try to keep up, dude.
All the women started to look alike. Why were (nearly) all the lips overlined? Why aren't their thinner lips okay?
This combination of exessive makeup and facetune is truly terrible. I'm sure most of them are not even brides at all.... half of them have regrowth in thier hair.
It seems weird that you do your wedding makeup and look like someone else. I went with the "I want to look like the person you proposed to" look. I'd be weirded out if the man I was marrying looked different than the person I decided to marry when I was coming down the aisle.
Most of these women look better in their natural form. In fact there are like 3 or 4 are just stunning naturally.
I am not trying to insult anyone but those nomakeup girls look worse when stacked with their makeup versions side by side because both look plastic like and to me all the plastic surgeries/barbie-like makeup etc is disgusting - how can you destroy your natural beauty so lightly. BARBIES ARE DOLLS, NOT HUMAN.
But did their grooms even recognize them? And how many got nose jobs?
It is amazing what you can do with Photoshop. Did they all have nose jobs? I’ve seen big transformations with drag queens, but these look like something totally different. Also, the before pics look fake too. Made to look worse.
Why would Anyone want to look like this? 😔 The makeup is so thick if you slapped them on the back of the head it would crack off and go flying..... 😒🤣 It's incredibly sad how they don't reflect themselves especially for wedding photos 😪
Why would someone look like a totally different person on theri wedding day??? Instead of enhancing each person's indivicual beautiful features, the make-up person just slappped one generic look on all of them.
I hate heavy make up. Made me uncomfortable. Looks fake like Kylie and Kim.
Bored panda I love you so, but PLEASE stop posting stories about how women look better when they are smothered in makeup. Old tired sexist crap.
I hate these threads. They just encourage the bored public to judge and discuss women in rude and objectifying ways. You’d never see a thread like this about men, even though they do plenty of things to change their appearance and status.
I think it's a lot more damaging to women and soon-to-be women to have the expectation of "beauty" be something that resembles a plastic, unrealistic, robotic Instagram face. It fosters self loathing and feelings of inadequacy in teenagers and young women. Labeling something that looks completely fake, "fake" isn't wrong.. We have to stop normalizing this crap.
Load More Replies...No way. They look creepy. If my bride showed up like this I'd just sweep her make up off. A more natural look is nicer. There's no need to make them look "beautiful" if you're already in love the way they are.
Are there really men out there who want a woman that looks like a fake plastic doll?
Yes, and they buy blow up dolls that look like these women.
Load More Replies...There wasn't one picture that I thought the "after" was better. They all looked like dolls. And none of them even remotely resembled the actual person. Oh, they're beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I cannot imagine the grooms reaction if he saw his bride to be walking down the aisle. Probably that he showed up in the wrong place.
talented makeup artist...too much though. they all look like beauty pageant contestants.
So much hate guys, relax a bit! We will do whatever we want in our faces when we want. Everyone says “I prefer the natural beauty “ oh yeah? Like? Kylie Jenner or Kim😂 Just relax, if you don't like what you see, move on! No need of hate! I believe all of them are great and beautiful because they are how they wanted to be.
I get that the women don’t look like their before pics, and that it might seem like too much makeup... because you’re right, they do have a lot of makeup on. But that’s the point of wedding makeup... not all brides do this much wedding makeup, of course, but some brides prefer this “Barbie photo” look just for their pictures, and I don’t see anything wrong with that.
can y'all PLEASE ffs stop oversexualizing all these women? Please? I mean no offense when I say this, but I know a lot of y'all were born in an age where women who wore more makeup were like, prostitutes or something, but seriously this is a new age and that's not the case anymore. There's nothing even wrong with prostitutes that are willingly being prostitutes, they're living their best life and making bank, and I honestly respect them. But some of y'all are just being downright disrespectful and do not seem to have the capacity to respect these women and the artists doing their makeup for them. It's really insulting, even to me, that you guys are calling them fake and photoshopped. Makeup can work wonders, and some of y'all don't seem to have the brain space to understand that, so you resort to calling these women whores and fake and plastic before educating yourselves on the topic at hand and taking a minute to think about it. The lighting, the way the makeup is placed, the exact
Honestly if I have a wedding I am going to focus on skincare and making sure my skin is clear and just cleaning my face. I don't need or want all that makeup. Those ladies look beautiful in their pictures but I think they'd look better if it looked more like the first picture.
bruh to all you people who are saying they look like plastic dolls and they're so pretty before the makeup and the husband wont recognize them after the wedding, dude it is their wedding and they deserve to feel special in whichever way they want. "personally i wouldn't marry such a dolled up person" well, you are not marrying them right?
All the after babes look alike. And what's with those baggy, discolored under eye circles on the before! Geez, I thought mine were bad enough...
Enough, I’m sick of seeing these stunning women’s faces overwritten by a tonne of the same bratz doll makeup, followed by badly done and heavy handed photoshop. This isn’t enhancing what’s there, it’s replacing what’s there. And what is there to start with was beautiful in each and every instance.
if i were to get married and want to have my make up done professionally i would want the end result to look like me. all of the 'after' looks are basically the same. one or two of them had some kind of resemblance to the 'before' but very little. it almost looked a little cookie cutter to me as they kind of look the same. i would want my husband to be to know it was me. i have had one professionally done portrait and i was so pleased with the make up as it was great but it was my face and not the popular trend of the day. oh, and by the way, i remember the trend of pencil thin brows but these days everyone looks like they have a couple of caterpillers on their foreheads.
PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGES - I mean, look at the nose shape, lip fullness, etc. - only so much can be done with brush and powders. So misleading.
Thinking about long term effects, after 6- 7 traes in their marriage, after a couple of kids AND un a crisis, when these women go back to see their wedding pics, what would they think? "Look how beautiful I was looking before all this"(?) Or something like "i should have known that this was not going to work if I needed to be someone else". Either way, I dont see any positive effects on needing to look like someone different on a day that should be important to yourself. Btw, im amazed about how this make-up trend makes young, beautiful, unique women into very similar-looking middle aged standarized dolls. I really hope this trend wont stay tío long. (Sorry for my english)
*scrolls down to the comments immediately* Hm... time to see why this got downvoted! *grabs popcorn*
Looks like a weird barbie doll. I agree with the other comments. Look pretty but don't look like someone else.
Who ever is doing the make up only knows how to make them look bollywood actress like. They all look the same after makeup and all have a change in skin tone and facial shape.
Photoshopped in addition to the makeup. Why do some women want to look like hookers at all, let alone at their weddings?
Man who really cares? If the women in the pics like how their makeup was done then there isn't any problem! It's their wedding day, and their face. Not mine. On the other hand, if they actually happened to dislike their makeup then that's a problem.
Seeing people putting these woman down for their choice in wedding makeup is so rude. They obviously go to this makeup artist for their style when it comes to makeup. These are these people wedding photos, if you dont like how their makeup look just scroll, there no need to call the after photos ugly. also their nothing wrong with wearing bold makeup on your wedding or even in general. your still beautiful without it and your beautiful with it.
I didn't see anyone putting "these women" down. The article was about the make-up and that's what people are commenting on. My opinion is that this make-up looks ridiculous and fake and completely hides the real human women underneath. If you think that comment is offensive to "the women," then dig deeper.
Load More Replies...I hate conspiracy theories...BUT, I don't think any of the horrid after pictures are the same person AT ALL. What a ridiculous thread.😠
How do all their noses get so thin with just makeup. I know that there is shadowing that can be used to make one's nose look thinner - but this is just stretching it.
Ack! Doesn't bode well if the groom only wants the unrealistic version.
There are so many troll comments on here. You should be ashamed of yourselves. These are beautiful women who want to look even more amazing for a meaningful event. Leave them alone.
One look for all apparently……and plenty of unhappy husbands once that lot wears off..🙄
Whilst in my personal opinion these girls all look the same in the after pics, if this is the look they wanted and it made them feel special then that’s enough. This look is the current trend so I guess that’s why the artist uses it Perhaps we should just send positive vibes and wish the girls a wonderful wedding day and a happy life with their new spouses #good vibes only Peace and love to all x
Do their husbands even recognize them the next day?? This is unreal. Using contouring to change the shape of the nose, mouth, cheekbones... totally different. Why?
NO individuality left. Mouth the same, eyebrows the same. I'm sure he could have helped make them beautiful & still be recognizable.
What a shame they tried to put one over on everyone with their fake pictures. Shame, shame, shame on you!
I'm all for wanting to look your best on your wedding day - but shouldn't that mean your are still recognizable? Most of the "after" photos not only don't resemble the woman in the "before" shot, but many of them look like drag queens.
I see a lot of males don't really like the made up looks. But when I walk down the street I see their heads spinning around looking at the made up looks. I don't see men breaking their necks to look at pretty plain girls. Why are so many "pretty" girls single?
I'm sorry, but marriage is about more then trying to fake a Cinderella - scene. In my wedding... I wanna be me. And that's it. Imagine you have to say "yes" to a character, that you see. But not to your wife. It's not even a word because you don't recognize them. So sad for those women. And for the men
after removing the heavy (and bad) photoshop editing, a close look to any of this girls will reveal a nastily caked make up soon breaking down on their skin. i don't see why they should be happy with having their features so blatantly changed. i don't even think most of them need such an invasive make up plastering. i'm a make up enthusiast myself but i would hate it ...of course to each their own.
Stop saying, "Too much" or "I don't like it." or "Looks bad" or anything of that nature because if it makes them feel confident, it doesn't matter what you think! If they want makeup like that, they can have there makeup done like that. If you think otherwise you may need to check your comment before posting it.
Lots of judgy people on here especially a certain Canadian who commented on almost every picture. Let them be. It's their wedding not yours. You go au natural on your wedding day if that is what you want.
Fun fact: If you don't like exaggerated bridal makeup, you don't have to read the article.
Wow, folks have a lot of opinions on this! Personally, these women all WANTED this to be done for them presumably because they felt that they looked good. If that makes them feel good about themselves that's their prerogative. I dunno why so many folks seem to have a hard on for hating it. Ya then makeup style is all the same but I would assume that's exactly the point. They hired this person because of what she can do. Some of y'all just need to chill lol
Now I understand the question..for all the beautiful brides there are, where do all the ugly wives come from? I can see the downvotes already.lol
While I think most of these women looked so much better in the before pictures, there is a curious (and vain) part of me that would love to be made up like this for a day. Just to see what it is like.
All of these girls were already pretty, they only looked like they needed a nap. Their husbands/wives/family members would have thought they were beautiful no matter what and that’s because they are
I like the before and after looks on most of these. Some were badly photoshopped, you could tell based on how big the heads were compared to the bodies. I didn't even bother reading the comments, I knew it would just be one long whine "Whyyyyyyyydowomenwearmakeupthey'resoprettywithoutitwaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!"
Oh my god. Every single freaking one of these had the comment "Oh. that's obviusly photoshopped," or "Well she looked better without the makeup," Just like,,, I don't know let people do what they want? These women got all dressed up and ready for one of the biggest days of thier life. These women feel confident with and with out thier makeup on (They posted thier before too). Makeup makes people feel confident, and some even just enjoy the process. It's an art. You look down on them for this, but they probably don't look like this everyday. These are thier WEDDING PHOTOS. Jesus, people make me mad sometimes.
Did any of the grooms recognize their bride? Did any of the grooms say "yes" to these Makeup Models?
Gosh, these people are basically saying that the profession of MUA shouldn't even exist. Like, I get it-- The works done by this particular artist are very typical and fake. Changed almost every faces entirely to different person. But c'mon, it's still an improved look which purposefully stylized for specific needs / events. Don't you think the clients already know it anyway? Check the IG page, this guy is quite popular. Means there are market for his style, despite of it doesn't suit your personal taste. Just be happy for them.
I think that if these people want to look this way, then they can! It's their wedding for chrissakes! Being derogatory won't fix anything, and when you marry someone you look past their exterior already, beauty lies within. But I can see that is not the case with some of the rude people in the comments saying they look like tramps or harlots, be kind and let them look the way they want. Moral of the story: They aren't marrying you. Have a good day!
I agree. The comments in this thread are rude, intrusive, arrogant, aggressive, and misogynistic.
