Arber Bytyqi (previously here, here, and here) is a professional makeup artist and beauty influencer with over 450,000 followers on social media. But his success and popularity didn't happen overnight. The two were long in the making.
Arber knew what he wanted to do pretty much since his childhood but his family opposed it. "In our culture, a male in the beauty industry is considered taboo," he explained in an earlier Bored Panda interview. "So, at first, I got a master’s degree in economics, and only then did I follow my dream and started working as a makeup artist."
Years later, he is as passionate as ever, working with more than one thousand brides per year. Here are some of the latest transformations that Arber and his team have done.

"When I meet my client, the first question I ask is what kind of occasion are they getting their makeup done for," Arner once told us. "I also ask my clients if they have any specific requests. For example, if they want a natural or dramatic look.
"Then I ask them [to show me] the dress that they are going to wear. The design of the dress and its details reveal the style of the look the client is going for. Then, I analyze their facial features."
She's beautiful without make-up. With make-up they all look the same. If you put them in a line, most grooms wouldn't recognize their wife. It's okay to use more make-up on your wedding day, but why do you want to look nothing like you normally look?
When the pandemic isn't ravaging the world, Arber and his team usually serve more than one thousand brides in a year. "The summer, in particular, is a very demanding season for wedding makeup. During this period, we serve as many as 60 or more clients daily."
Naturally, such a big client base requires a lot of help. Arber's team consists of 25 people (15 makeup artists and 10 hair stylists).
Photoshop. No amount of makeup (unless it’s prosthetics) will change the shape of your chin and eyes and neither will it whiten your eyes and teeth like that.
Simple elegant makeup would’ve worked wonders here. She looks horribly photoshoped in the after pic.
But he has trained even more people. "Some of my students are working part-time and some are full-time employees."
Arber has enough resources to attend to up to 100 clients per day. "We start our workdays early in the morning and make sure our schedule has absolutely no impact on the quality of services, satisfying all of their needs." Of course, the coronavirus has had its toll on these numbers. "In the Balkans, the wedding is one of the biggest events in a person's life. But due to the pandemic, a lot of them were postponed," Arber said.
She just looks tired, and.if she had a little mascara and eyeliner and gloss she would be good to go
Big lips, big eyebrows, fluffy hair, and dark smokey eyes. This is beautiful. And let's not forget a ton of foundation to cover and even every pore of the skin.
Load More Replies...Again with the photoshop! Urgh. Thinned her face (funny how the slight double chin disappears and her chin becomes slightly pointier) and overuse of the blur tool. These are all beautiful women, teach them how to enhance what they have not change what they have, this whole BP post is very disingenuous and actually quite harmful to women.
Why would you want to look nothing like yourself on your wedding day. Poor bloke marrying her . She turns up with a long wig and a face he will never see again . Haha 😂
The ones with their hair down all pretty much have the same hairdo as well. Attack of the Clones.
The results are pretty, but they all look the same. None of them look recognizable and like themselves anymore.
They all look so beautiful natural! Make-up is supposed to enhance your features not change them completely. They look so plastic now :(
And bridal make-up is supposed to be very light, just enough to bring out your natural beauty. At least that's the way it's done where I'm from. Such heavy make-up for your wedding is so weird, why would you want to look like a completely different person on this day? I feel bad for the grooms too, it must be an unpleasant surprise for your wife-to-be to turn up looking like a plastic doll.
Load More Replies...I was going to post this too. And why all that goo on your face? Will your intended still recognize you?
Load More Replies...they ended up looking very similar to each other. I have nothing against heavy makeup or makeup that dramatically changes your appearance, but it's important to preserve the uniqueness of each individual and not just paint the same mask over everyone's face.
Yes! Same eye makeup, same eyebrows, same plumped lips, same contouring. And it doesn't really enhance what were their prettiest features.
Load More Replies...This is very poor makeup skills, this "artist" should not be praised. Looks like he learnt how to do only one look using the same contouring scheme, same eye lines, exactly the same eye brow lines, the same heavy coloring etc. The all look like plastic sex dolls. All individual features are erased.
He says he asks the women if they want to look "natural." I wonder if he knows what "natural" looks like...
I wonder what it's like for the groom, when his future wife suddenly looks like a pornstar.
"WHERE'S CHERYL?! AND WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!"
Load More Replies...Why do the beautiful women on the left hand-side are shown in comparison to manequins on the right-hand side that do not even look similar to them? (I respect the makeup artist's work and skills, I understand the wish to look great for marriage, but I do not comprehend why anyone would choose a literal masquerade. I truly hope these people felt great and had an even greater day, but I still cannot grasp the rationale. Is anyone able to explain?)
I feel like this is some kind of social experiment to see how people react. And I wonder what kind of message it sends to the women to be given 'makeovers' that make it impossible to recognize who they were to begin with.
I don't understand why anyone would want to look like they'd be at home as a wax museum exhibit. None of these look good to me. In fact, I think they're all kind of gross.
I know, @arber_bytyqi_mua, women who aren’t confident with their appearance are your money, but I really, really dislike how you make them feel like even (heavily overdone!) makeup is NOT enough to make them look beautiful and that you additionally photoshop the pictures to death. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I hate all of these. Good looking women are made into something that looks like it was created by an AI.
They all ended up looking half hooker, half Miss election candidate.
These looks must be scary in person. How can any of these women be kissed or touched without makeup smearing EVERYWHERE? Who wants to kiss someone who is that plastered with makeup?!
What is it with that freakin eyebrow fashion? Whyyyyyyy? Why can't women have natural eyebrows any longer? Do we all really have to look the same? Yeah, let's draw two thick lines above everybody's eyes...geeez 🤦
This is nothing more than a run-of-the-mill factory settings kind of look. Nothing enhancing to the individuals. Nothing unique. Same look on everyone. Plastic and over done. Aren't you supposed to at least recognise the bride?
Hey, women! Take back control of yourself by accepting yourself. Don't believe that you look ugly by being natural.
I'm not saying it's not pretty.... but why do they all look like Brat dolls afterwards? I am getting married in December and I definitely do NOT want to look like that. A little bit of makeup to hide my imperfections (dark circles, un even skin tone) Yes. But look completely fake? no thanks. FH wouldn't like it anyway.
Too much crap, they don't even look like themselves, just wax sex dolls
Funny that you'd say that. Here's a picture to prove that you're right. Lifesize-d...fee189.jpg
Load More Replies...It's all done very skillfully, but it's a bit too much of a transformation. A bride's makeup should enhance her natural features, not turn her into a Barbie.
If it was done skillfully, they'd look like themselves, enhanced. Instead, this guy has erased their faces and turned them into plastic dolls. I still want to know why he made them all five shades darker.
Load More Replies...Poor women looking so plastic. To turn yourself into a doll even for a day, why women have to go through this. Those faces are so drastically distorted and all of them will never look like this ever again. It's like hiring someone else to act as a bride on your own wedding. No wonder men in the make up industry are taboo. Men simply don't understand female physical features and turn all of them into lifeless non-human looking creatures.
This looks more like a hoax to me. Photoshop or some heavy software filter rather then make-up.
None of them looks like herself with all this Makeup. I would not say "yes" to any of these unrecognizable puppets.
I'm just wondering how much Rokas Laurinavičius and Greta Jaruševičiūtė got from this advertorial. Ads are getting smarter, but this is just dumb advertising.
You'd wonder who was really walking down the aisle. They look completely different.
I'm rather disappointed that not one of them looked like themselves. They all looked like someone had photoshopped or applied a filter. I wonder if they did the same make up techniques on the groom so they match!
all they look the same - no matter what was the shape of the eyes, face, lips etc.
A really excellent make-up artist knows how to apply makeup to enhance a woman's good points and reduce the bad ones. This guy just takes the face, wipes it clean and starts building a new face from scratch. They pretty much all looked exactly the same after he was finished. Granted, he had different face shapes to work with, but that was about it. Not a fan of this guy.
These are just horrible. Maby hecshould start painting faces on barbie dolls cos that what he's good at.
What is with the 2021 eyebrows (all the same!) *20 years later* "Here's our wedding album! Yes, that's the eyebrow that was a hit back then."
Isn't the point of getting married, to actually marry the person you love and know. Not to marry a completely different person? Amazing work. But if I was a husband, I'd be a bit disappointed. My wife did her own makeup for our wedding it she was perfect.
I bet this guy works in product development for Real Doll™ sex toys.
They all look like the same damn sex doll. Sorry, but it's just gross objectification of women by yet another man. Sickening. I was glad to look like a cleaned up version of myself when I got married, not some anime fuckpuppet.
She puts the same generic - and boring - face on all of them, and why is she darkening their skin that way? Is that the only color makeup she has because she's too cheap or too lazy to work with what they have? ...///... She makes women look like hookers.
All of the ladies looked lovely as they were before inches of make up was caked over their faces - don't forget the faces on the left are the ones that their future spouses fell in love with. They look so generic in the right hand pictures and don't look a bit like themselves. If I had turned up at my wedding with a similar make up job, I think my husband would not have recognised me! This whole thing sends a terrible message as to what is acceptable in terms of beauty.
Yes, I think it's a bit unfair and sexist for men to go without, and then "age gracefully," while women have to worry about being judged on their looks all the time. I agree with you guys. They look better natural
y'all...*sigh* it is THE BRIDE'S DECISION. If THEY like it, who gives a f**k? All y'all sayin' "but that's just my opinion," like, yes they are absolutely scrolling through the BP comments searching about what Mark from Ohio had to say about their wedding makeup. CHILL OUT
They are all so uniquely beautiful it makes me sad to see someone erase their original face completely. It's like painting over a lovely piece of art to make pretty cartoons.
Before pictures: Beautiful girls. After pictures: Cheap p*rn actresses.
They looked so pretty before the makeup. Now they just look plastic. But the hair is great.
I hate when brides are so done up, they don't even look like themselves!!!
Now I have seen these photos, of the soulless barbie dolls who have been de-indivualized into empty clones... I am curious of the unique facial features of The bold and the beautiful cast, after they remove their clone-up.
They all look like those Instagram photos women take of themselves then over photo shop them. Plastic fantastic. I've seen better makeup jobs on a Las Vegas drag queen.
When they've cut the cake, they can cut through all those layers of makeup
It's like getting a caricature at a fair or carnival. They look more like the artist's style than the person themselves.
These kinda make me said. What is the makeup artist hired by the Kardasians?
It's always the women who are made to look radically different. There is nothing done to the grooms to make them isolated vastly "improved. "
When did bored panda become a place for people to be so rude and make fun of women. What happened to this site???
We make fun of that guy who knows exactly one style of porn paint. The women are victims here.
Load More Replies...And now the only thing you need to do is to repeat this process everyday for the rest of your life so no one will be able to know how normal you were
My friend had this kind of makeup done for a professional photo shot. It looked nothing like her! She gave it to her fiance and he didn't recognize her. They put it in a drawer somewhere and never showed it. She's beautiful just the way she is, as these brides are BEFORE.
Such a shame! Beautiful young women changing in plastic dolls. The pictures of the wedding will be weird, the bride with a funny yellowish "tan"colour next to her husband and guests with a normal skin colour. To much make-up in comparison with mother/sisters/friends so the pictures will be weird. Maybe now they think is beautiful but after a while when these looks are out, they will regret it and be disapointed to see the wedding-pictures. Normally the bridal make-up is subtle so the bride shines with her beauty.
I get Cheers to you if you DONT WANT TO recognize yourself (of have anyone else recognize you for that matter). In your own wedding photos.... 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. But nonetheless Amazing Talent
I wonder why people who obviously hate makeup look at these posts just to shame and insult these women. Makeup is a form of art. Get a life people.

I think they all look beautiful. Why can't you people just not be rude? It's their freaking wedding day. They can look as different and amazingly beautiful as they want.
Nobody is rude to them. We mostly criticize the makeup artist. If you look only at one photo - yeah, maybe it looks cool. But if you see the whole collection, it becomes evident that this artist knows exactly one makeup style. Despite all those women having absolutely different facial features, they all get the same eyebrow shape, the same lip shape, the same fake eyelashes, the same contouring pattern, and even the same eyeliner wings.
