How creative can you be when making eggs? It turns out, very! Michele Baldini, an artist from Mexico, continues his creative venture into making art from fried eggs and today we are happy to share some of his latest works.

In an interview with Bored Panda, Michele shared that his experimentation started back when he attempted to recreate a yin-yang symbol using a fried egg. “From that moment, the ideas kept flowing, each design becoming more intricate than the last. I used to share my creations on my personal account, but in 2017 I decided to create The Eggshibit,” wrote Michele.

Michele added: “While I’ve experimented with other foods and materials, eggs remain my favorite. There’s something uniquely calming and captivating about the contrast of the egg white and yolk against a black background.”

We were wondering what has changed since the last time Michele’s work was featured on Bored Panda.

The artist responded: “A lot has changed since we last spoke! I graduated from medical school and recently moved to Berlin, which has been an exciting but challenging journey. These experiences have definitely influenced my creations. I’ve experimented with layering, different backgrounds, and new subjects, constantly pushing myself on what I can do with eggs. Although I took a long pause at one point, I’ve always found my way back to this creative outlet. While I’ve explored other hobbies, like knitting, eggs remain my constant. My approach has not changed though, egg art is a way to channel my thoughts and transform the noise and chaos in my mind into something tangible. For me, making eggs is a daily moment to focus and turn anxiety into something productive—or at the very least, something interesting to look at!”

Over time, social media has become flooded with food photography, but Michele’s work stands out as truly unique. We asked what the artist thinks sets his egg art apart and keeps people coming back for more.

“I think what sets my egg art apart is the intriguing use of an everyday object—the fried egg—to portray something equally familiar, like another object, symbol, or even a landscape. This combination creates a sense of relatability while sparking curiosity, making it both thought-provoking and uniquely engaging,” wrote Michele.

As for the response, Michele shared what people have said about his food art.

“I would say the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Occasionally, I hear comments about how one shouldn’t play with food, to which I reply that this is far from a game—it’s a form of eggspression. I also make it a point to ensure that no food goes to waste.”

Lastly, Michele shared his plans for the future.

“I believe The Eggshibit will always remain a part of my life in some way. As long as the ideas keep coming, I’ll continue creating new designs and revisiting old ones. In the future, I’d love to showcase my work in a coffee table book and create a calendar. My ultimate dream, however, would be to design a cover for an album or a song.”
