Running a company is a delicate beast. No matter how big you become, there's always plenty of opportunities to mess up.

To show that no organization is exempt from making mistakes, TikToker Hannah Baked has been creating videos about the biggest brand fails and disasters that have made headlines. I'm certain that entire PR departments were tasked with covering them up, but even they couldn't hide all the loose ends.

Have you heard that Pringles (accidentally) put laxatives in one of their flavors? Or that Lipton launched a promotion campaign with a loophole that gave people an infinite supply of tea?

Continue scrolling to check out all the gems Hannah has unearthed so far and if you want more business hiccups, fire up our publication on the subreddit 'Corporate Facepalm.'

30 Brand Fails And Disasters That Seriously Damaged Their Image In 2017, a passenger was dragged across the aisle of a United Airlines flight. The cause of this was the flight was overbooked and when no one voluntarily chose to leave, they randomly selected someone to give up their seat. The passenger refused to leave and security was called. They forcefully grabbed the passenger and dragged them off the plane. This left the remaining passengers disgusted and they tweeted about the incident which led to United Airlines having to make a public apology and compensate the passenger.

I believe the passenger was a doctor who was flying home to open a free clinic for veterans, and also had patients to see the next day.

A couple of years ago I outfitted a conference with video and audio equipement. Very secretive event, no content was shown beforehand. Meeting begins, everybody reveives a shirt with some kind of "All of us together for the company". Turns out they called in all of their logistics employees to tell them they're fired. Never have I been more afraid for my equipement. CEO got spat on and heard some very clear opinions.

A CEO of a tv network I at worked told us we were required to attend an event because he had big announcement. The "celebration" was at a bowling alley, after work hours mind you and we we required to attend. The big news was that the network was going to relocate to the east coast and we could either stay and loose our jobs OR relocate.

What's a better alternative here, really? Send a form letter? Email? Corporate level break up text? It wouldn't be feasible to call each one in for a face to face, because what's an "appropriate" amount of time to spend with each person? 5 minutes? 10? That's 75-150 hours of firing people, where the end result is...they're still pissed off, they're still crying and at the end of it all, someone will still end up dragging the company/CEO. It's going to suck regardless.

Superninjatiger

Email is definitely better alternative, just send a copy of the same text to everyone. You don't make 900 people sit together in a zoom-meeting and tell them they're fired, have some dignity and compassion. I don't think everyone in the footage wanted their crying and hurt face spread around the internet either. Yeah, people will be mad and sad but what he did was just mean and cowardly.
