I basically agree. I mean if it's a woman not involved with anyone who can't consider herself as having a partner I do think it's different. But if she is actually in a comitted relationship the partner should always be Allowed to have opinions. It's ultimately her decision. Definitely. But the partner should be allowed to say how he feels about it. Isn't communication a big part of a relationship? I hate when it seems like having an opinion is considered the same as making the decision or as we need to get a permission from our partners to get an abortion.

Perhaps I phrased it badly, as I ment it is 100% a woman's choice. Why does that make me a woman hater? I would hate to live in a country where abortion is considered a political issue. It is not. Wearing double condoms+ the pill for example is not something that "works" for everyone. When I say work for everyone I basically mean not everyone want's it that way.

A woman doesn’t want to have an abortion and use it as contraception because it’s an emotional roller coaster of emotions to bare. But, it should be her right to safe legal abortions in this country protected as a right to autonomy over her own body. If you don’t want to be a father, then get a vasectomy.

You know what I suggest? Watch a real up close delivery of a baby. It’s not all roses. You can be in labor for days waiting to get dialated at a certain point so that the baby’s head pushes thru. And not all women can do it safely. Do you know what an episiotomy is? It’s a surgery that the doctor has to perform because when a baby comes out of the birth canal, the baby’s head splits the mothers vaginal opening all the way down to her a**s. Some women pass out from the pain. In 3rd world countries there are women who don’t get that episiotomy to fix that tear and they are shunned by communities because they smell like $hit. Without an episiotomy you can develop a fistula where the a**l cavity leaks. It’s horrible. Look up the Fistula Foundation to help support women like that if you’re interested…even Amazon donates proceeds to it if you’d like. All I’m saying is birthing a child is a painful surgical procedure and not all women take an epidural in their back to the pain away

And that’s just a natural childbirth. A cesarean section or C section is prone to hernias, infections on the suture line and of course my favorite that I personally experienced…your body parts after a C section are never quite put right back the same after the procedure. And of course a woman later on life after having babies are more than likely going to develop osteoporosis. Brittle bone disease, happens when the baby takes minerals out of a woman’s bones just for the baby. Think! Safe legal abortions are not just a right but can save a woman many hardships. It should be between a woman and her doctor. I don’t think men quite grasp the difficulties of pregnancy unless you spill it in all it’s gore.

Could be. But for a majority of women it isn't in itself (even if you want the child) and comes with a lot of risks. And if you didn't want to be pregnant to begin with it's absolutely not a highly satisfying experience at all.

Really? Are you including morning after pill in that? I personally don't because it prevents fertilisation so it is a kind of contraception rather than abortion. I took it once, it was really not nice. The situation was I was in my late teens with a long term boyfriend. We had talked through contraception, and both agreed me being pregnant was not ok with either of us so we agreed that I would go on the pill and he would use a condom. One new year's Day after a heavy night partying, he apologized to me in the morning because the condom the night before had split. I'd drunk too much and been sick, which called in to question the effectiveness of the pill. We were kids, so we did the sensible thing of going straight to a doctor for advice. We had been doing the pill plus condom method because I really did not want to either be pregnant or get an abortion. This is why I took morning after pill. It was horrible and I felt really bad. But it was definitely right thing to do.

The people I meant were young teens that were either on the pill or used condoms but sometines skipped it and basically thought "eh, what the h*ck, if I get pregnant I can always have an abortion." I really dont think anyone I know now that we are all adults would do the same thing they did back then. I totally understand why you chose to take the morning after pill. I did not mean the morning after pill and it also seems like a very unfortunate situation but you were responsible. I really don't think you should feel bad. It's not your fault it broke.

Oh I also remember a couple of young teens that actually went with the old "pull out" method while knowing the risks.

Teens are odd ( as was I) I remember a group of girls I had carefully taught sex education to, who all aced the having understood test at the end. Few months later a girl comes in with contraceptive rod and tells everyone it protects from STD's. Education is fantastic, but sometimes......

Your body isn’t quite developed for having a child and having a child so young would’ve made difficult for you to financially care for the baby. Don’t regret your decision.
