Vilijas bodypainting, photography and films speaks about human and nature relationships, body, its spirit, colorfulness, emotions. Bodypainting became her life. Vilijas passion for art comes from nature, philosophy, music, dance, films and stories. She also works about climate change and equality.
Vilija Vitkute is based in Scandinavia, Sweden. She works as bodypainter, photographer, film and creative, art director she also makes dance, cirkus bodypaint performances.
Vilija Vitkute travels around the world and makes bodypainting releated to nature. Her works brings us back to releationship with mother earth which has been supresed by modern life.
In her films she combines nature and body as one. She works with bhuto dance, uses technology in its organic way by making visual animations specialy mapped on human bodypainted bodies and nature.
Her latest film, masterpiece “Long Winter” created together with Running Rivers (artist colective team started by Vilija Vitkute in 2014) will be released in 2017 September end.

”Elements”
”Elements” is a project by four artists within dance, body art, music and film. It is an exploration in how these artforms interact with each other and how they together create an artistic interpretation of the song “Lever Igen” by Amerika. Focusing on the synergy between the artforms, all the ideas and decisions have been made together from start to finish.
