After my car accident, I had on March 19, 2014. I was diagnosed with TBI & PTSD. I was hit by a drunk driver going over 100 mph in 40 mph residential zone. I am fortunate to be alive but as one could imagine I had a difficult time bouncing back. It’s been almost 5 years since the accident and I still have issues trying to articulate myself. I discovered neon UV photography in my last semester in college and I developed a unique way to express myself.

I am a visual artist and I see things in my head that I can’t explain. They make perfect sense to me but when I try to explain them, I completely freeze & I stutter my way through. This series I created with my supportive family in our own bathtub with a camera, makeup, and filling up the bathtub with water while having the neon UV lights react to the makeup on the model’s body. I consider myself a visual artist, whether you’re in a small town or 5th avenue in NYC, I want my artwork to grab your attention.
