Artist Sculpts Molten Glass Into Unique Hand Sculptures

Inspired by her love of gardening, along with her young sons and their sense of discovery, Jen Violette skillfully sculpts molten glass into beautiful child-sized hands holding various objects made by glass blowing. When cooled, Violette sandblasts the hand artworks to etch the surface of the glass, creating a softer look.

Violette lives in Wilmington, Vermont, and has been working with glass art for the past 27 years. She received her BFA from Alfred University Art School in 1994. Violette is known for her one of a kind, nature-inspired glass sculptures, and exhibits her pieces in several fine art glass galleries. Visit www.jenviolette.com for more of her unique art.
