I literally just stopped crying due to depression like an hour ago and now this.

This is so sad yet beautiful... What a nice way to portrait death and the sadness that comes with it

This breaks my heart. Someone had shot my sweet Pepper, a gorgeous black house panther with the most affectionate disposition and a purr that was even bigger than he was, before he found me gardening in my yard 16 summers ago. He died this past August after a two-year battle with congestive heart failure. It seems extra cruel that he died from having a big heart. He took such faithful care of his big feline brother, his big feline sister and his little feline sister before him and his little feline sister, who joined our family at the end of last year, and me. There are no words that accurately convey how much I miss him.

Everytime i read a sad story about a cat or a dog or any animal, i hug my cat and let him know he will never know hows to not be loved . I wish those animals get somebody to tell them the same one day

Where I live, shelters can't adopt out black animals for the whole month of October b/c people get wound up and do horrible sh*t to the black animals. So, yeah, I'm bawling...

Makes me want to adopt a black cat & a puppy.

I have had many black cats but my favorite rescue was an old timer we named "Mr. No Ears". He was old, broken, with ears scratched raw from mite infection. Managed to trap him one night and let him stay in the trap until the next day. He seemed to become a new cat, having spent a night under shelter. Unfortunately one of his pads was cancerous and he did not last long but he had a really good life....for six months. Eating in the house with everyone else and even sleeping on the bed. I did not expect to cry so hard at this. The kid in the Good Boy comic looks almost exactly like my best friend did. They were non binary and killed in a trans hate attack three years ago. I honestly hope that they had an animal that said me is the death to them when they passed. This is a wonderful depiction of sadness and abuse towards animals, but it could apply to people too. Thank you for making this, but I cried way too hard.

The puppy one breaks my heart when the pup says "maybe I was a bad dog" like no, Love! You were the bestest one! 😭😭😭

I have a black kitty names Sansa! She is 13 years old, and is the our last cat out of 7 cats! (Zorra, Arrya, Bianca, Josie, Terra, and Moe were the others)

These cartoons made me cry. I’ve had pets my whole life, and well understand that animals are sentient beings. They feel pain, sadness, and joy just like we do. And, just like children, they think any upset or neglect they suffer is their fault—-when it just isn’t. I also don’t get people who not only hold on to stupid, outdated, and disproven superstitions, but also act on them so cruelly. My black cat Jack is 5 years old and 14 lbs—-but was the runt of his litter (who were abandoned at the dead end of our street and wandered into our yard—-we got the others adopted by good people) and the only black kitten. He’s also very laid back, and the funniest and most loving little guy. Plus, he’s that rare cat who will let you pet him anywhere, including his belly. I just wish the comment section down here would let me upload a picture of him.

When I learned black cats where least likely to get adopted I solely try to seduce black ones at the animal shelter.

I really don't understand how people can hate innocent little black cats. I used to have a black cat myself (though she died 2 years back because of a tumor.) I loved her so much. She didn't bring any "bad luck." Only happiness and cuteness.

I absolutely love black cats (I'm just extremely allergic to all cats now). I had a pair of black rabbits about a year ago. Now I have 3 bunnies one of which is black (also a rescue).

How can you not love black animals? They are beautiful and adorable good boys and girls.

Even more important lesson -- KEEP CATS INSIDE. They should only be outside in an enclosed 'cat run/catio' or on a leash. If they're not roaming loose, they can't be hit by cars. And forget about TNR -- it doesn't help prevent this kind of thing either.

I have a black cat named Sir Arthur Guinness, King of the Britains. He's such a sweetheart, loves people (and will lick you and your toes should you give him a chance), and is completely and utterly loveable. I don't understand why black cats are seen as bad luck, because Arthur is an angel. Plus, black cats are less likely to get fleas.
