My Black-And-White Catography Reveals Their Hypnotizing Beauty
I usually take coloured pictures, but I’ve recently got fascinated with black and white photography. I was a little bit afraid that cats don’t look special without their colours (although – don’t they always look special?). I hope that I avoided this and you can focus on the cat and its catness.
I would like to invite you to spend few minutes with my black and white catography.

Share on FacebookI just love your pictures Monika, they have something special out of the ordinary, congratulations!
Beautiful! I believe the black-and-white photography enhances their "cat-ness;" it takes away all the distractions and focuses on the elegance of the subjects.
Beautiful! I'd like to know What kind of camera you use and photo retouching program (if you do retouch your pictures, of course)
I use Canon 6D mostly with Canon 85mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.8. I retouch pictures in LightRoom and PhotoShop.

Cats outside are homeless cats. Pictures of cats outside are part of my report on homeless cats. If you want to see more, please take a look at whole album https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.426282074244803.1073741883.237501646456181&type=3
Load More Replies...You understand that the magic of black and white photography is the use of light. I'd like to take credit for that knowledge but I learned it from Nancy Safford who's book Times Island is in black and white.
These photos are stunning! They capture the cat perfectly. I love cats ...
