“Bieszczady” – beautiful and wild mountains located in eastern Poland nearby Ukrainan and Slovak border. Bieszczady mountains are mostly vistied by tourists during summer. When winter comes, routes are dominated by wind, snow, and frost. Hardly anyone comes there then.
The only one mountain shelter is placed on mountain pasture named “Połonina Wetlińska”. People call it “The House at Pooh Corner”. In hard winter times, it is the place for the toughest. When I first came here everything was covered by snow and the only thing that could be heard was wind.
In the morning, I realized I stand in the middle of Snow Queen land. It was winding so hard outside that I had to hold my bag really hard! It was worth facing snow and frost for these several photos. Have a look – a place like this in the middle of Europe!
