Drones are becoming an increasingly accessible way to witness the world from a birds-eye view perspective. As more and more people are soaring the skies with their cameras, drone photography communities start to host their own awards (previously here and here). This time we present the best photos from the SkyPixel 2016 Photo Contest and some of our most favorite shots.
SkyPixel is a growing aerial view photography platform, and it received 27,000 entries to its 2016 photography contest. It was open to both amateur and professional photographers and was divided into three categories: 360, Beauty, and Drones in Use. Scroll down to check out the stunning pictures and upvote the drone photos that you liked best!

I LOVE it... a little bit of color in a sea of sand. The ripples, the footprints, and the shadows - art in nature, and nature in art
I still want to know who gets paid to rake all that sand perfectly! Beautiful shot!

I would love to know how far that shadow is actually stretching on the tree. It looks like a very tall tree!
Stunning. I think the introduction of affordable drones, combined with 4K quality footage has been game changing in photography. Special wows for the photo of slow-shutter photo, which created light trails with the drone lights and the photo from a drone of a drone below. Some incredible creativity there.
Can someone tell me, if it's allowed to use your copter with camera (499g) in Bulgaria as private person (tourist)? I can't find any rule (without speaking russian) in the forum pages of my native language and the airial administration and the consul in our country aren't answering.
